Our Wedding

Our love story began on the very first day of our sophomore year at High Point University. Neither of us could have imagined that a simple introduction would lead to a journey filled with so much joy and love. We had the same friends during freshman year, and now, looking back and sharing stories, we realize we were at the same places at the same time—and somehow never met. We truly believe that God knew we weren't quite ready yet, and He was waiting for the perfect timing to bring us together. On February 17, 2019, we took the leap and officially began dating. Holden asked Tori to go out with him while we were enjoying some world’s best BBQ—thanks to Tori’s grandpa, Papa, who had cooked it the day before for their church fundraiser. (We promise you, it’s the best BBQ you’ll ever taste, and no, we’re not biased at all.) Now, here’s the thing: while we were enjoying this delicious meal, we had a bit of a disagreement. Is BBQ better chopped or pulled? To this day, that debate has not been settled. As we spent more time together, it became clear that God had brought us into each other's lives for a reason. Our relationship blossomed, grounded in our shared faith and love for one another. Fast forward to December 20, 2024, when Holden proposed, marking the beginning of the next chapter of our lives. Holden had planned a special surprise at Tori’s work. She was supposed to have a meeting with a "wedding planner," but little did she know, Holden was the one showing up instead! Tori, completely caught off guard, and told Holden, "I have a meeting soon, is something wrong?". Holden always wanted it to be a complete shock, and he was successful! One thing’s for sure: Tori will never leave the house again without fixing her hair! When it came time to choose a wedding date, we knew we wanted something meaningful. We selected March 27, 2026, because it’s the exact date when both of our parents were married—same day, same year, same time, just a few miles down the road from each other. It was a beautiful coincidence that our families’ love stories began in such a special way, and we’re excited to continue that tradition. We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together, hand in hand, as we walk in the path that God has laid out for us. Thank you for celebrating this special time with us. We can’t wait for what’s ahead!
