Our love story

Picture of Our love story

Zach and Victoria were *almost* high school sweethearts!! Having gone to the same high school for four long years yet never saying a word to each other during that time, the two of them cant quite claim to be high school sweethearts. Although the two never crossed paths in school they were luckily reintroduced through mutual friends in 2022 and that is where their love story began.

While hanging out in groups they always seemed to be on the same level and gravitate towards each other. At the end of each day, each friend would find their way home and Victoria and Zach would always be the two wanting to keep hanging out longer, never getting enough time with one another. This would go on for what seemed like forever to Victoria (a month and a half) and she knew she either found the love of her life or was going to be heartbroken at the end of this. On June 30th, 2022 Zach would finally ask Victoria to be his girlfriend. Not long after that they both quickly realize that they found their forever.

On April 6th, 2023 Zach asked the big question, Will you marry me? Victoria of course in true Victoria fashion was hysterically crying tears of joy throughout the entire proposal which ended in her saying Yes, of course! The two of them both look back on that day as being one of the happiest in their life. Zach and Victoria didn’t wait long after the proposal to start the wedding planning process, picking the venue, DJ, caterer, photographer and videographer all within the following month, knowing that Zach would be leaving at any moment.

With Zach being in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, the two of them knew from the beginning of their relationship that Zach would be deployed for 3 months. As time went on, it was narrowed down that Zach would be deployed over the summer of 2023. Zach was called to leave on July 18th, 2023 to Saudi Arabia where he would be working gruelling 12-hour shifts 6 days a week. Not only did this make communication hard for the two of them but they also dealt with a 9-hour time difference on top of that. Their relationship became long-distance after being inseparable for a year, although it did not weaken their bond. This time apart allowed them to work on themselves as individuals and build their relationship even stronger. The 3-month deployment turned into a 4 1/2-month deployment, making his homecoming day, December 3, 2023 even sweeter.

Since Zachs return home, they have been even closer and have been counting down the days until they say I do. They like to spend their days together hanging out with family, spending time with friends, visiting their favorite restaurants, playing pool at their favorite bar (Shot Happens), going to the golf course when the weather allows, as well as going for walks and getting outside. They look forward to a lifetime of love and all that that entails, including the hard work and hardships. Zach and Victoria hope to display and vow their love for all of you to witness come June 1, 2024.
