Our first date was at Ruby’s Arcade in downtown Harrisonburg, VA. Harrisonburg was the perfect halfway point between Arlington and Charlottesville after Victoria’s trip to Massanutten with her family. After hours of games (We both claim to have won the most games, so someone has to be wrong) and delicious brick oven pizza, we ended the afternoon with kettle corn from Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn and a short walk through downtown. Before leaving, Joe surprised Victoria with flowers that he had hidden in his car and we both agreed that we were looking forward to spending more time together soon!

Since we lived over 2 hours apart, daily conversations via FaceTime became our love language!

Our spontaneous and fun-filled dates have been a staple in our relationship. Here we are at one of our favorite spots in Charlottesville, Carter’s Mountain (You have to go and try the fresh homemade Apple Cider Donuts).

COVID-19 caused Victoria’s job to become remote. This allowed us to spend more time together at Joe’s home in Charlottesville, VA.

Family is so important to us and we love how much our families support our relationship. It makes it easy when we both fit in so well with both families! Grandma Pig may be the most excited for our wedding!

Victoria planned an amazing surprise birthday party for Joe in Richmond, VA.

We decided to take a random trip to a place we had never been. We ended up in Roanoke, VA and we were pleasantly surprised with the bustling downtown, great local cuisine, and beautiful scenery. Our favorite views came at the famous Roanoke Star located at the top of Mill Mountain.

As if we needed another opportunity to showcase our love for one another, Valentine’s Day!

We had an amazing time at Darrian and Haley’s wedding in Outer Banks, NC. Joe was a groomsman and Victoria was a gorgeous +1.

This is one of our favorite pictures together. We love this picture because we weren’t doing anything special, we were just spending time together and we were enjoying every minute of it. This was during a weekend trip to Richmond, VA.

Joe, with the help of her sister, planned an epic surprise 30th birthday for Victoria in Danville, VA.

Joe went to Danville and asked Victoria's parents for their blessing on marrying her (while she was in Pittsburgh at her friend Alieyyah's bridal shower)☺️

We attended several weddings in 2021. Alieyyah and Hal’s wedding was special because Victoria was able to see one of her closest friends tie the knot and she had no idea that Joe had recently purchased an engagement ring of his own!

After planning a “Back to School” cookout together for several weeks, Victoria had no idea Joe was working behind the scenes to plan a unique and memorable proposal. Victoria said yes… after shedding some tears first of course! Watch the proposal: https://youtu.be/jrP8RSBPaGY

Joe got a well deserved promotion & officially moved (on his birthday) from Charlottesville, VA to Washington, D.C. with Victoria & somehow managed to make her the happiest girl in the world... again.
