Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Kyle and I met during college in 2018 through various fire classes we became more directly connected by Fire II. If you knew Kyle back then, you would have known he didn’t talk much, and well me on the other hand… I like to get the quiet people talking. So sooner or later, I’d get him to budge. I did not realize it would be five years later. Life went on as it does, but we kept in touch. We continued to ask about each other’s careers. He was curious about dispatch, and that started our on-and-off conversation again. Fast forward to the Summer of 2024, Kyle got a motorcycle, and I asked him if he’d be interested in riding in the fall once I’m returned to the country. He accepted, and we planned a pumpkin photo shoot. We met at the Deerfield Fair, and it was the first time in a few years that we had seen each other. We talked about our careers and continued to engage in other small talk. Kyle and I both like the fall and started to plan the pumpkin photo shoot. Two weeks later; I made it happen. My friend Tim took the photos. Little did we know Tim was photographing the beginning of our story. After the pumpkin photo shoot Kyle and I started making more time to see each other we planned to take a long ride up north through the notch and around the lakes region a week later. You’d imagine you’d run out of small talk real quick on a seven-hour ride, but we didn’t. The conversations we were having got interesting and were authentic. We started asking about our viewpoints on life. Riding back through, we met with another rider and stretched our legs in Laconia. We continued down south home, and the next week, we rode the same route. Except this time, the conversation turned more personal, asking what we want out of life and what we look for in a partner.
As the sun was setting on the Kancamagus by the hairpin, we stopped to watch the sunset. Then, we continued on our way home. Shortly after, he asked me to be his girlfriend. From there, we each took turns planning dates doing things the other hasn’t done, from a haunted house to the Boston lights, dinner at the skyline in Boston, Professional Bull Riding (PBR), dinner in an igloo on a rooftop, ice castles, and day trips up north. Fast forward to spring; Tim photographed our engagement photos and will be at our reception continuing to document our story that now includes all of you. Most are shocked at the sudden wedding, and shockingly… I’m NOT pregnant. Though that’s what everyone thinks. We are private people and want to move on with our new lives and enjoy a lovely evening with the people we care about.
