Our story

Mitchell and Tori met during their time at Illinois State University. Mitchell was moving into his dorm at Manchester Hall for his freshman year of college, and Tori was moved in for her sophomore year. Although Mitchell somehow has zero recollection of even seeing Tori there, Tori and her friends went around their dorm floor welcoming all the freshmen and other students moving in. Mitchell and his roommate soon stopped over at Tori's dorm room, noticed a “Come on in!” sign on her and her roommates door, and decided that was an open invitation to walk right in without knocking! They were met with the girls waking up on their lofted beds. Later that day it made for a good laugh when they hung out for the first time! Mitchell, Tori, and both their roommates soon started hanging out daily, going on late night walks to the campus swings to talk all about their life stories- getting to know one another more and more. Mitchell and Tori quickly became inseparable best friends, and on the early morning of February 18th, 2019, Mitchell finally asked Tori to be his girlfriend! Summers throughout college and the days after graduating college were tough living over an hour away from one another. But with hundreds of hours+ long FaceTime calls and only being able to see each other on the weekend, they've still stuck together. In June of 2023, Mitchell took Tori on their first vacation together to Miami, Florida where they boarded a cruise ship, sailing off to the Bahamas! On June 23rd, 2023, Mitchell popped the question on the beach in Half Moon Cay!
