Our Story

how we met

Their story begins at Florida State University in 2016. It all started at Andrew's fraternity house ATO during a fall football game. They had a quick conversation but went their separate ways. It wasn't until months later that they reconnected during spring break on a cruise to the Bahamas and became inseparable.

They immediately felt they were both old souls and had known each other forever. Victoria loved how much of a gentleman Andrew was and his passion for everything he did - including playing the piano and guitar. Andrew loved Victoria's goofy carefree personality - as well as her interest in ancient history and the paranormal. They dated all throughout college and moved to Tampa after graduation.

They now live in the Hyde Park area near Bayshore with their new puppy Duncan (who is a Morkie). Victoria is a sales consultant for a company specializing in pharmacy automation and Andrew is a COO for a custom packaging company in the food and beverage industry.

We are so excited to share our special day in Andrew’s hometown of Sarasota with all our loved ones.

the proposal

On October 30th, 2021, Andrew took Victoria to the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, FL which was special to them because it was the first place he introduced her to his family for drinks at sunset. Victoria had no idea as the night before she went to a Halloween carnival with friends in Tampa. Andrew told Victoria they would be having dinner with his parents, which was a normal thing for them.

Once they arrived, Andrew was chugging wine to calm his nerves, while Victoria was casually taking pictures of the scenery. He was so worried that she would accidentally see the proposal set up as she was aiming the camera in that direction. After a quick walk on the beach together, Andrew brought Victoria to the other side of the pool area where there was a cabana set up with rose petals, candles, two chairs strung with cozy blankets, and a gorgeous floral centerpiece.

At first Victoria didn’t think anything of it and thought it was an event set up for a wedding- which was typical at the Ritz. It wasn’t until she saw a gold mirror, that read “Lady, Will you Marry Me?” (Andrew’s nickname for her since they first met) that she knew it was for her.

Andrew dropped down on one knee and popped the question. Both families came out to surprise them with lots of champagne and hugs. They celebrated that night at dinner and will remember it for the rest of their lives.
