It was 2017 and Victoria was swiping through potential date matches online. She came upon a cute redhead with a retro myspace mirror pic and Bernie Sanders quote on his profile. Victoria thought 'What do I have to lose?' and sent him a DM.

That was the start of everything.

Victoria and Matt quickly took to each other. However, both fiercely valuing their independence and personal career goals, they slowly courted until finally moving in together in 2019.

Matt and Victoria decided to get a cat together in 2020, this would be the first of many. Later that year two kittens would show up needing help, they would work with local rescues and TNR groups from then on. To this day Matt and Victoria volunteer as Fosters and Sponsors with local rescues in the Phoenix area. They have 8 cats, and have never looked back.

Victoria and Matt decided to buy a house in 2021, to continue collecting cats. But Victoria had often mentioned that she wanted land, so they could have dogs, chickens, goats, pigs and any other animal that needs a loving home. So Matt and Victoria decided to begin planning to move North, settle on some land, and live a lovely quiet life.

It was 2023, Matt asked Victoria what she thought about marriage over tequila shots on a particularly hot desert night. It was more of question, for a general discussion, so Matt could test the waters on the topic. But Victoria said 'What have we got to lose?'.

And that was truly the start of everything.

They are excited to celebrate this next stage in their relationship with friends and family, near and far!
