Victoria and I met on my birthday weekend. I shared a birth week with one of my close friends at the time so really she came up for my friend's birthday to celebrate his day and just came to support her friends at the time. Fun fact she had no idea it was also my birthday.
We didn't even talk to each other at the beginning, she was downstairs playing board games, and a crazy surprise here, I was playing video games. I was too busy to notice my future wife downstairs because the boys NEEDED me on the game (I had a raid if you were interested). We ended up going out to celebrate our friend's birthday and we were kinda doing our own thing, but then I made the first move. I sat by her at Hu Hots, I know so brave. Here is where you expect our love story to blossom right? Not exactly, we talked a little but mostly I just had to make fun of her for getting chicken strips at a Moanglian place. We finally make it to the party and actually have time to strike up a real conversation. It is loud and lights are flying everywhere and if you know Victoria you know this is her favorite thing. What is the first thing we talk about you may ask? The floor was soooooooo sticky. Let me tell you you could hear your feet over the music that's how sticky that bad boy was. She later admitted that she only talked to me because her friend hadn't got there yet and she was very overstimulated, but it was all worth it. That night I had no idea it would change the rest of our lives. We talked about everything that night. Our jobs, hobbies, where we are from, lifestyle, and even clothes. I mean we talked like we had known each other for years. I can't get over how there was such a strong connection from the beginning just from shared interests to a common enemy (IYKYK).
The night ends and you will never guess what happens. I didn't ask for a number, snapchat or anything. Crazy right! So I go on about my week because I think a woman this beautiful could never be into me(spoiler alert: I was wrong). So a little bit after that she added me on just about every social media I had and we have not spent a day not talking since. The long distance was hard at points but if it wasn't for our willingness to make it work and our love for each other we wouldn't have made it work. We started out not really knowing what would come out of this. It was just suppose to be a fun relationship that maybe could help us find ourselves in our own way but we grew to much more then that and now we are getting married which is just so crazy to me. I never thought I could get as lucky as I am today for a woman with so much personality and kindness to take time out of her whole dang life to marry me. I don't think we would change a thing about how the beginning of our life started and we definitely can't wait to see where it takes us.
