Vilma and Elias met the modern way by swiping right and matching on April 8, 2020. It was a special day as Vilma was celebrating her 26th Birthday in Lancaster, PA. Meanwhile Elias was in Boston, MA going about his day. After a little over a week of conversing, they both decided to have a first date via FaceTime. A few months later they met in person in Lancaster and had their first in-person date.

Their journey of a long distance relationship was filled with many wonderful moments as well as some challenges. Elias and Vilma traveled to see each other often and made sure to communicate with each other daily. They both enjoy going on walks in nature, dressing up for fancy dates, and trying new activities.

On June 2nd 2021 Elias took Vilma out for a fancy dinner date followed by a romantic walk in a nearby park. After their walk, they made their way to Pastor Los’ house where a surprise was waiting. With a beautiful spring night, stars lighting up the sky, and heart shaped candles on the grass, Elias got on one knee. Elias proposed to Vilma privately on the balcony and Vilma said Yes!
