Vinny:

Makayla and I first met at a work event in 2017 at Coastera restaurant in the Spring. My first impression was that this girl was sweet, funny and captivating. Fast forward to our first date a few weeks later, with dinner and drinks in North Park. At the end of the date, I felt so happy to be spending time with her that I knew I couldn’t wait to see her again.

One of the first memories I have where I thought to myself, “I could picture marrying Makayla", was when we spent our first holidays together with her and my family. Spending time with all the people I loved in one room during the holidays was something I wanted with her every year.

Of course, Makayla points to a different memory as a particular highlight of our relationship. She recalls the time that we celebrated our first New Years together later that year, as one of her favorite first memories. It was the start of a new year, a new chapter, and the beginning of us.

Makayla:

The proposal happened April 29th, 2023 on a small beach town near Puerta Vallarta, Mexico called Yelapa! It was my birthday weekend and we were spending it with our friends. I had just touched down from parasailing over the beautiful ocean, big smiles and heart pounding from the sail. I take off the harness and walk over to Vinny, happy to be the first in the air, and he's smiling as he walks over to greet me, when all of a sudden…he drops to one knee!

The idea of spending forever with Vinny and being married to this wonderful person who makes my heart feel whole, brings me so much joy!
