We are so incredibly grateful that we can bring together all of our dearest friends and family this January to celebrate our wedding!

We wanted to share a bit of background about each of us and how we met! Virginia was born and grew up in Dallas, TX. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. She has an older brother, John, who is stationed at Camp Pendleton and younger sister, Mary Park, who lives in New York City.

Jacob was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Irvine, CA. He studied Civil Engineering at Vanderbilt University and then Management Science at Stanford University. He has two older brothers, Dahm, who lives in Seattle with his wife Elisabeth and two children, Cecilia and Abraham, and Isaac, who lives in Fairfax, VA.

Virginia and Jacob met on a dating app when they were both living in the Bay Area in California in 2021. Due to COVID, their first dates were on FaceTime. Their first in-person date was spent sitting underneath the Golden Gate Bridge telling their life stories, visiting the Sutro Bath ruins at Lands End, and eating Thai food in Jacob’s backyard. Winnie was, of course, in attendance to evaluate Jacob...and he passed.

Jacob was immediately smitten and texted to ask for a second date before Virginia even got home that evening. Some of their dating highlights include a roadtrip to Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon, camping in Yosemite, international trips to Mexico City and Seoul, South Korea, and the meeting of the parents for the first time in San Francisco.

Jacob proposed on their two-year anniversary on June 13, 2023 in England. They took a trip to London and then Brighton, a small town on the English Channel. He proposed while hiking the Seven Sisters, a coastal trail along white chalk cliffs.

After their engagement, they moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in August 2023, which is where they currently reside while Virginia is studying Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
