How we met:

We met in scouts, and have known each other for years. Ginny originally had a crush on Erik in elementary school. We were close friends in the last few years of elementary school, and remained friends in high school.

How we started dating:

Erik sat beside Ginny in grade 11 chemistry, and we started talking all the time. Erik was giving Ginny song recommendations every night.

Our first date (unofficial):

Erik asked Ginny to study for their grade 11 Chem exam together at Ginny's favourite restaurant. Ginny said no nothing fancy we can just study at Tim Hortons. We had a great time at Tims, laughing playing phone games etc. On the way home Erik asked "was this a date" and Ginny not realizing it was said "no" and walked home. (smooth Ginny smooth)

Our official first date:

Ginny realized she messed up the second she got home, and messaged Erik asking if it was supposed to be a date. It was.

Finally, we got to go on our real first date. We went to Angels Diner (Ginny's fav restaurant) and then to a movie. It was great. (tons of fun stories about our first date available please feel free to ask)

Becoming a couple:

We officially became a couple Jan 30 2016.

First kiss:

Our first kiss was at speed river in Guelph, on a photography walk (because Erik is the sweetest). Ginny messed that up a bit, and yet Erik loves me anyway. (for info on the mess up you'll have to ask, it's a great conversation starter)

First I love you:

It was very romantic, it was midnight, and had just become Ginny's birthday (May 15, 2016). And Erik said I love you. Ginny was over the moon and quickly said it back once she got over the shock.

First Home:

We got our first apartment in the summer of 2018, Ginny lived there alone for a year while Erik lived in Lindsay (he visited every weekend at least). Then in 2019 Erik moved in.

Becoming a Family (aka getting our kitties)

We got our first kitten in October 2018, a cute little kitten named Pipsqueak. 2 years later (Jan 2020) we adopted our wonderful girl Betty.

Getting Engaged:

March 22, 2021. Ginny was just finishing work (from home as it was covid). There was a note on the door that said "put on this dress and as much makeup to make you feel pretty". As soon as Ginny saw the note she knew he was proposing, please enjoy Ginny's pre proposal face seen below.

It was a magical moment!

Moving to Our Second Home:

Erik and Ginny were lucky enough to move into an amazing rental (thanks dad) in October 2023 and we love the space! Love being close to the river and living on a quiet street.
