Our Wedding

10 years of falling in love 

Gabriel and I met 10 years ago through mutual friends who were dating each other My girl friend wanted to plan a blind double date and thought it would be cute for me and Gabriel to join. That evening, Gabriel and his friend came to pick us girls up from my house. That was our first time meeting and I was immediately attracted to him and his car. Gabriel was such a gentleman, I remember he opened my door, allowed me to walk first, and paid the bill. I had butterflies the whole night. Fast forward to our first date, he took me to the movies followed by dinner after. I just kept thinking to myself, “Wow this guy is such a catch”. I think we both knew we were meant to be together. We went on so many dates after that and on February 1st, 2014, he finally decided to pop the question and asked me to be his girlfriend. I obviously said “Yes!” with no hesitation. And from then on, it’s been nothing but amazing times, great memories, and growth in our relationship and our family together.

How We Met

8 years later, countless trips around the world, Gabriel popped the question on 02/05/2022. Yes I know, I waited 8 long years, but let me tell you in the 8 years we were able to accomplish so much in life. We traveled around the world and got to visit so many beautiful places like Paris, London, Mexico, Hawaii, New York, and different parts of the U.S . We were also able to establish our careers and move into our home. Most importantly, we were able to flourish our love for one another. The day of the proposal, we were out celebrating our 8 year anniversary, and Gabriel had surprised me with a helicopter tour. We flew over LA, flew over the beaches , and enjoyed the beautiful sunset from up above . As we were heading back,(so I thought lol), the pilot told us that we were going to land on top of a building in downtown LA. Once we landed, he asked if we wanted to get down and we said “yes”. The pilot then told us to wait here while he grabs a few things. I didn’t think much of it because I was so mesmerized by the beautiful view. The pilot came back with a table, a bottle of champagne, cheesecake, and some roses. He set it up and said to enjoy and he would be back in a while. As I was enjoying my cheesecake, Gabriel got down on one knee, and said “ 8 years ago I asked you to be my girlfriend today I ask you a different question, will you marry me?” I immediately cried and said “YESSS!!!!!” It was the best day of my life.

The Proposal

All while planning our wedding we decided we wanted to have a baby before the wedding. I know it might not seem like the traditional thing to do, but we just couldn’t wait any longer to create something that thrived from our love. We got excited thinking of how our baby can be apart of the wedding. In the midst of wedding planning, I got pregnant and continued to go to school. Fast forward, our biggest blessing yet was born on August 10th, 2023. Now this was the best day of our lives. We are so excited that our baby girl will be apart of her parents’ special day. 

2 Years of Wedding Planning
