Our Wedding

We "met" at a Halloween party hosted by the Best Man, Allen Jerabeck, in 2022 (he still insists that he set us up, although the evidence is circumstantial at best). Allen had just recently moved back to the area and invited his close friends from college, who lived all over the state and beyond. Joe and Mitch came from Buffalo to join in the festivities. Andrea showed up in full costume, dressed as the degenerate middle-aged man "The Dude" from The Big Lebowski (including the goatee) and was introduced to a plain-clothes Joe. Joe was dubious of her vegetarian Buffalo dip she'd brought, but tried it and was very impressed. Andrea, to this day, barely remembers meeting Joe at the party, because he didn't wear a costume. The next morning, Allen invited his college pals and Andrea out to the best brunch place in Syracuse. Both of us tried to weasel out of it, but Allen got mad at us so we went anyway. We ended up being seated across from each other and Allen sent conversation prompts down from his end of the table (the most fateful being our mutual affinity for firearms). We had a very lively (albeit weird and gross) conversation, and when breakfast was finished, we said our goodbyes and went on our way. Later that day, Andrea told Allen that his "friend in the green hoodie" was cute. Numbers were exchanged and Joe sent more texts in one weekend than he had in his entire life. Our first date was the following weekend at Rocky Horror Picture Show, and this time Joe had a makeshift costume, the late great Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, one of Andrea's favorite authors. After that, Joe diligently drove from Buffalo to Syracuse every weekend, even in apocalyptical snowstorms. Six months later, at the end of April 2023, Andrea proposed to Joe accidentally, and the rest is history!

Hampton Inn Verona at Turning Stone

*PLEASE NOTE* Turning Stone does not provide room blocks for off-site weddings. If you wish to stay at any of Turning Stone's hotels, be sure that you book your reservation as early as possible! Our informal "after party" will be held at the casino at Turning Stone, and some of the wedding party is booked at The Tower.

The venue itself offers several cabins on-site, which can accommodate between 2 and 6 guests. They are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in this option, it is highly recommended that you book them as early as you can, as guests with weddings on the same weekend are also able to reserve these.

There will be a limited-service shuttle that runs between Turning Stone Resort, Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, and the venue. It is first come-first served to the venue until the bus is full. Check the SHUTTLE tab for schedule. Individual hotels may also provide shuttle service to the casino.

As the big day approaches, we would like to make everyone aware that we are providing a bus to shuttle our guests from hotels in Verona (around turning Stone) to the venue, and back as people end their evening with us. Due to timing restrictions, we will only have one outbound trip from the hotels, and so will not be able to offer everyone a ride to the venue--it is first come, first served until the bus is full. We will have multiplereturn trips throughout the evening, though, so everyone staying in Verona should be able to catch a shuttle back to their hotel. We ask that anyone who feels they need to leave their vehicle at Wolf Oak would please arrange to retrieve it at a respectable (early!) hour on Saturday, as Wolf Oak will be hosting another wedding that day.
