Vivek and Allie’s story all began with a simple invitation. Allie and her roommates were known for hosting quite the Catholic celebrations. From Mardi Gras before Lent to highlighting great Saints such as St. Joseph. Little did both Vivek and Allie know that an invitation to her ‘Resurrection Party’ would lead to so much more.

Now before we get to the happily ever after, God had a different plan for the lovely couple. The months following the Easter festivities, God allowed space for Vivek and Allie to grow in friendship. Not only with each other but with their brothers and sisters in Christ. The rest of 2022 was filled with many social gatherings, weekly praise and worship, and a growing affection for one another.

In God’s perfect timing, the couple joyfully made things official in February of 2023. If there is one quote that encapsulates their time of dating it would be from St. Pope John Paul 2, “life with Christ is a wonderful adventure.” Of the many adventures here are a few of the couples favorites:

-Cooking together
-Discovering their competitiveness while playing cards and board games
-Enjoying live music
-Taking a trip to California to meet Vivek’s family

The trip to California sealed the deal for Allie, she knew that this was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. To her surprise, Vivek had already been prayerfully planning that special day. On October 22nd all of his preparations were not in vain. It was a beautiful, sunny, October Sunday. The fall colors still vibrant and the temperature mild. Following Sunday Mass, surrounded by dear friends, Vivek asked Allie for her hand in marriage. Through smiles and joyful tears, Allie said yes!

We are grateful for all of our friends, family, and especially our parents who have supported us all these years. Our biggest thanks however, goes to our Father in heaven. He truly gives the best gifts and He continues to sustain us as we prepare to enter into the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
