Our Wedding

We connected during an unlikely time in the summer of 2020. We saw each other in passing several times at various mutual friend gatherings. Luckily, we finally chatted during a good friend’s birthday bonfire.Many activities were limited at this time, so we got to know each other through creative dates such a DIY paint nights. We quickly discovered our shared love of catching sunsets and traveling.Our relationship grew through sunset picnics, paddle board dates, and bike rides.

The beginning 

We continued getting to know each other through exploring local treasures. This included National Parks, such as Joshua Tree, the Channel Islands and Death Valley. There’s so much to do in California, and we love doing it together.

Alaska was our first out of state trip together. We discovered how well we travel together and our shared passion for exploring the outdoors.

Greece was the beginning of our international travels.

A start of international travel adventures

While we travel abroad every chance we get, Mexico has a special place in our hearts. We've had countless weekend getaways just across the border.We had a blast celebrating one of Patrick’s birthdays in Valle de Guadalupe. Vivian also had a memorable birthday in La Paz sailing to beautiful beaches and snorkeling with sea lions.We loved marathon eating in Mexico City and cenotes jumping in Tulum.

Weekend getaways

The wanderlust continues with many camping and roadtrips. We love disconnecting from our busy lives working in healthcare and rebalancing in nature. Some of our roadtrips around the Pacific Southwest included endless cacti sightings at Saguaro National Park, Sedona, Antelope Canyon and the Grand Canyon National Park.

Road trips galore

Upon traveling through Europe, we experienced some accessibility challenges. However, these obstacles only strengthened our relationship.

European adventures

In January 2024, we took a trip to Vietnam. Patrick was able to spend time with Vivian’s extended family and see where they are from. We experienced Vietnamese culture and cuisine as well the beauty of the country together.

In Japan we were blessed to catch the end of cherry blossom season, go to the bamboo forest, feed deer, participate in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and visit many stunning shrines.

We do not have a room block because there are countless accommodations available in San Diego that may suit your needs. We listed some hotels below that are within a couple miles from the reception venue. If you are looking for more cost effective hotels there are several options available in the Hotel Circle area. This is a short 10 minute drive from all the weekend activities.If you are planning to stay in an Air BnB we recommend staying coastal or central San Diego (Mission Valley, Hillcrest, Downtown, North Park, Mission Hills)
