Waiza and Patrick's love story began in the most unexpected of times-during the pandemic in 2020. On a brisk September evening, Patrick took Waiza out for dinner to Sol, a restaurant in downtown Willoughby. As they sat outside enjoying the live music and tacos, their chemistry was instant. They began spending more time together, going on dates like long walks in the park with Waiza's beloved dog-Gaia, cooking Pakistani meals, enjoying movie nights, and deepening their connection.

Waiza returned to St. Kitts and Nevis for veterinary school, while Patrick remained in the U.S. to care for Gaia. They spent late nights FaceTiming, sharing moments throughout the week and of course showing Gaia's antics-which became the highlight of their days apart. Waiza's long days at school were brightened by Patrick's unwavering support, and Patrick found comfort in the thought that one day, their time apart would soon be over.

When Waiza finally graduated and moved back home, Patrick cherished every moment with her and knew that she was the one he wanted to spend his life with. One quiet evening in March 2024, Patrick took Waiza to a romantic candle lit concert to enjoy a night together. Little did Waiza know, Patrick was proposing that same night!
