Albany International Airport
If you are flying please think of flying into Burlington, VT (1.25 hr drive to Plattsburgh NY) or Albany, NY (2.5 hr drive to Plattsburgh NY).

Lake Champlain Ferry Landing, Gordon Landing, Grand Isle
While there are Bridges at the north and south end of Lake Champlain that lead to Vermont, the quickest and most scenic way is to take the ferry. Lake Champlain Transportation has two separate available routes between VT/NY.
The Grand Isle ferry located on Commodore Thomas McDonough Hwy in Plattsburgh allows you to travel in your car from Plattsburgh to North Hero Island (takes 15 minutes), from which you can drive the land bridge from the island to reach the VT mainland. From there, you can travel to Burlington or wherever your heart desires. Although is a 24 hour ferry, the dock usually utilizes only one ferry at night, so check the ferry schedule if you want to limit your wait time at the dock. Check the website for pricing.
The southern ferry crosses from Essex, NY to Charlotte, VT and takes approximately 30 minutes.

There are not a lot of chain hotels close to the wedding venue. We recommend some lovely AirBnB or Bead and Breakfasts. Below are just some of the many locations you could stay.
FYI Lake Placid is an hour drive away.
