Our Wedding

How We Met:Our first date took place on a sunny mid 70 degree April afternoon. Savannah, who was nervous for the date, worried that Walter would not show up. Walter on the other hand, was not nervous at all and was promptly on time. Savannah was so nervous that she waited outside the coffee shop for 15 minutes. Eventually, she realized that even if Walter wasn't there, no one in the coffee shop would know that she went there for a date! After Savannah finally went inside the coffee shop, we had a great conversation and realized we shared many passions, values, and interests. After that eventful date, and several more to follow,&nbsp;we both quickly realized that we had more in common than just our passions and values, but more importantly the way in which we saw our lives and our future. It didn't take long to realize that we were meant to be together.&nbsp;&nbsp; Dating &amp; TravelingFast forward to the time of today, we have dated three years, and spent much of that time doing what we love most, which was traveling together and making memories. From skiing in the mountains, relaxing in the river, and hiking in national parks with family; to road trips with friends or just the two of us, travel and the people close to us have been a big part of our relationship. Which leads us to the proposal. The ProposalWhen Walter got invited to Marseille, France for a business trip scheduled for June 2024, he knew he could turn the trip into an opportunity to propose to Savannah who made his life complete. Savannah had never been to Europe before and the #1 place she always wanted to visit since childhood was Italy. Her reasons started with her love for pasta, and ended with developing a love for tasting wine and European history (which Walter also shares). Therefore, Walter thought the idea was perfect and planned a vacation to the Amalfi Coast in Italy right after his France business trip. As we all know how life goes, it can sometimes be unpredictable. Walter ended up not going on the France business trip, as he changed jobs weeks before, but the travel plans to Italy remained.&nbsp;For the first few days Walter and Savannah stayed in a small town called Praiano that overlooked the blue waters and breathtaking cliffs of the Amalfi Coast. On the second night, while walking to a fancy dinner (which Walter told Savannah started at 7pm but actually was 8pm). Walter suggested we stop by a beautiful cathedral that hugged the coast line on our walking route to the restaurant. It was in the square in front of the 9th century old Roman Catholic cathedral that Walter proposed (How romantic). Savannah was shocked by the whole thing so much she didn't notice the photographer sprinting across the plaza to capture the moment! To celebrate our engagement, we had a nice sunset dinner overlooking the coastline. The rest of the trip or “engagement-moon” as they like to call it, was spent exploring the sights, eating lots of pasta and caprese salad, and sipping on endless glasses of the best wine in the world. James like everyone on this list played tennis with me at one time or another. For James, it was at CNU where we met as freshmen.  From "studying" in the library to a million trips to a Korean BBQ place called Bob Bob we have spent a lot of time together over the last seven years I am very thankful to have such a great best friend. James is as stubborn as a mule and possibly the slowest person ever but he is a very moral and loyal friend. We just have to hope he can get ready for the wedding in time.

Avah has been a constant in my life since the day she made me a big sister.  We have shared a lifetime of memories, traditions, and laughter, but sharing my special day with her is something I have been dreaming about since our childhood. Although she is my opposite, her and I have a special bond as sisters that I never take for granted. I am so excited and thankful to have the best side kick, built in best friend and sister as my maid of honor.

One time as a kid a tennis instructor asked what our goals were and thought I said, "I want to be like my brother." We all know that's not what I said. I wanted to beat Ethan. Ethan as my brother pushed me to constantly improve at everything from tennis to school to even board games. Ethan is one of the smartest people I have ever met and when he is not reading math textbooks he's a great brother. He was always supportive and there for me and was the best doubles partner I ever had. Even if I always served first.

Gracie is my cousin and from drinking yoohoos as children to sipping on margaritas as adults our relationship has grown stronger, just like our drinks. We have built so many  memories together including our trips to the river and the mountains. I wouldn't want to spend this special day without her optimistic and happy spirit.

Andy was one year older on the CNU tennis team and has always been a great friend. He was always there for me even when times were tough (even if he was making fun of me) and his competitive spirit is always fun to be around. When he's not practicing law he spends most of his time training at golf. One day maybe it will pay off and he'll figure out how to beat me (not anytime soon).

Anna and I have known each other since we were three.  A friendship that started as neighborhood girls riding bikes and creating obstacle courses, to now being young adults venting about work and life, either on the beach or at happy hour :) While thinking about which people I would want to be apart of my big day, I knew I wanted to share this day with my oldest friend by my side.

Paul is often the life of the party. He's lighthearted and easygoing but always there for his friends. I have many memories of us having fun at tennis practices even if occasionally we had a bit too much fun. Someone needs to keep this dude out of trouble but they will always have a fun time doing it. It's been my honor to try (and sometimes fail) many times and I've enjoyed and remembered all of our time together.

I met Kyla through Walter and I am so glad I found an amazing friend like you. While seeing Walter and I’s relationship grow, mine and Kyla's did as well. Even though most of our chats are limited to texts and FaceTime calls your friendship is filled with laughter and fun when we reunite. Kyla was there since day one of this adventure and this day would not be complete without her by my side.

Olivia my cousin from miles away, even though we don’t see each other so often memories with her are always the best. Sharing hoagies, walking miles in King of Prussia Mall, boogie boarding in the waves, and sunburnt days in VB, my day wouldn't be complete without Olivia's support.
