Waverleigh and David met on summer swim team at the ages of 10 and 12 years old. After many years of seeing each other exclusively in the summer time, Waverleigh fell in love with Davids sense of humor and charm while David fell in love with her kindness and beauty. The couple began dating in the summer of 2017, only one week before David left for JMU. The two did not know what a future of long distance would hold, and neither one thought they would end up at the altar.

After two years of long distance, Waverleigh and David ended up at JMU together for another two years. They explored the buzzing town of Harrisonburg, enjoyed late nights with friends and most importantly spent every possible second together. Once these two years of bliss came to an end, they ended up in another place of uncertainty and once again, long distance.

David started his first job in Northern Virginia, while Waverleigh finished her degree at JMU and moved down to Charleston, SC to pursue her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy. Seven months into graduate school, the two met in Northern Virginia for a weekend together doing on of their favorite things, exploring new wineries. They approached Stone Tower Winery, hand in shakey hand, on a cold and gloomy day. As they walked through the double doors, they were greeted by two glasses of champagne. The winery hostess proceeded to take the couple on a private tour of the winery and down into the wine cellar where David finally popped the question! After five years of dating and 10+ years of knowing each other, the puzzle pieces continued to fall into place.

The happy couple now resides in Charleston, South Carolina with their two dogs Echo and Piper. They are unsure of what the next chapter of life will hold but are excited and thankful to have each other through each step. Most importantly, they cannot wait to be husband and wife!
