Our Wedding

<p>During freshman week of college, Wayne and Neely attended many events, activities, and educations. One of the many activities held involved a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Neely formed a team with her fellow teammates, while Wayne did with his roommate and high school friend. It was a competitive game that resulted in Neely popping her shoulder and having to sit out the rest of the game (FYI... it was Wayne's fault). As freshman week continued, Wayne decided it was best to avoid Neely. However, the two had finally met in the cafeteria and had a comical heart to heart. The next day Neely and Wayne met again in their Intro to Nutrition class. What started as two strangers on the court, blossomed into a long-term friendship, with the final destination of becoming husband and wife underway.</p>

HOW WE MET:

<p>Wayne proposed to Neely at the college they both attended and graduated from. After college, Neely was hired as the Assistant Women's basketball coach for Gannon University. On January 20th, 2024, the team was scheduled to play against Clarion University. After Gannon pulled out the win, the staff at Clarion told Neely to head to center court for a presentation of her basketball clips from the time she played at Clarion University. As the clips rolled on, the screen change to a live video. The camera filmed the family and friends of Wayne and Neely with signs that said "Will You Marry Me?" and many other familiar phrases. As Neely turned around, she found Wayne down on on one knee with the ring in his hands. After, they embraced with friends and family, took photos, and had dinner. The most memorable day of 2024 for us!</p>
