Wayne and I first connected in 1997 during my Port Sulphur High School 10 year class reunion while celebrating at Boomers of Boomtown Casino. He was in the Army and stationed in Georgia. We briefly connected and went our separate ways. Although we communicated in and out after that, it didn't last long as we lost contact for a while. Thereafter, years later he got married and so did I. Wayne then got divorced in 2009 and I got divorced in 2011. Later that year, Wayne and I found our way back to each other. We both were living in Texas as he was working for the federal government and I was working in the Oil and Gas industry. Our encounter once again was brief and we once again went our separate ways. It wasn't until 2019 when we reconnected again that Spring. It was not until the Fall of 2019 when we decided to be exclusively dating. Now throughout the years we've had our shares of up and downs as couples do when they're two different people who are set in their ways and have been alone and independent for so long. But throughout it all, we maintained riding the course until Wayne decided to propose on October 18, 2024 and make it official. And here we are, planning our #threetimestheblessings. Guess it's true when they say, if you love something sometimes you have to set it free and if it's meant to be it'll come back. #27yearsinthemaking
