Can you believe that we met in elementary school? Yes, our story begins at Walter G. Smith Academics Plus School, where we were often in the same math club prepping for a competition.

Living within one block of each other, it wasn't hard remaining friendly and familiar. Being the gentleman that Jerry is, he would oftentimes offer to help Ms. Mavis (Wendi's mom) with her shopping bags when getting off the bus.

Then....THIS happened!

One spring day in 1992, Wendi had returned from school and was chatting it up outside on the block. There was a constant and melodious thump in the air that grabbed her ear, but she couldn't see anything. Seconds later, there it was...a chocolate brown Cadillac caressed the blacktop oh-so-smoothly. Leaned back enjoying the beat of the bass, Jerry turns the corner and is immediately consumed by the illuminous ORANGE glow at the other end of the block. Wendi was wearing a pair of black denim shorts, cuffed at the thigh and a bright ORANGE, button-down shirt that was tied at the navel. Jerry said to himself, "MY GOODNESS, WHO IS THAT?" The rest is our story.
