We met in middle school and fell in love in high school. But our story started even earlier. As kids, our families went to the same church. We didn’t know it then, but even back then, life was quietly bringing us closer together.
Since high school, we’ve spent nearly ten years growing up and building a life side by side. We’ve always chosen each other through every season: the good, the hard, the ordinary, and the magical.
Our first date was simple but unforgettable. Joaquin asked Wendy out for ice cream, and we ended up at Baskin-Robbins. We grabbed our cones and sat in the car, talking for hours about everything and nothing. It was one of those moments that just clicked—an instant connection that felt easy, warm, and meant to be. That night became the quiet beginning of a love that would only grow deeper with time.
Since then, we’ve shared countless late-night talks, belly laughs, spontaneous adventures, and cozy evenings at home with our fur babies: Joy and Coco (our pups), and Pirate and Trippy (our mischievous cats). We’ve grown up together, through college, first jobs, and learning what it means to build a home filled with love, patience, and a little bit of pet hair.
We’re both proudly Mexican and come from families rooted in faith, tradition, and community. While we’re not super religious ourselves, we carry the warmth of our upbringing in how we love and celebrate. Our wedding day will be a blend of those traditions and our own, a reflection of where we come from and where we’re going.
After nearly a decade of love, growth, and soul-deep connection, we’re ready to begin our next chapter as husband and wife. We truly believe the universe, or maybe something even greater, kept pulling us together. And we’re thankful for every moment that led us here.
We can’t wait to celebrate this day with you, surrounded by the people who have loved us, supported us, and cheered us on every step of the way.
