André and Wendy went on a mission trip to the Czech Republic in the summer of 2022. We lead the youth group at a week long English camp. One of our favorite memories is sitting on the porch, drinking tea and talking for hours. André claims this is when he started to realize there could be something more than a friendship between us.

After hitting it off so well in Czech, André and Wendy decided to spend more time together in Houston. André took Wendy on fun dates to try new foods, explore the city, and play at Top Golf (he only showed off a little bit!).

Wendy got sick during the school year as per usual... from the kids, no doubt! André took good care of her by cooking a yummy soup.

André and Wendy got all dressed up and went on a nice date. Both of us started to have stronger feelings for the other, and soon after this, we said, “I love you.”

André is a big foodie and turned Wendy into one too. We discovered one of our favorite places to eat in Houston- D'alba! We would love to take you there if you haven't already been!!

André took Wendy to the Nutcracker for her birthday. We spent lots of time with family and friends over Christmas time, and it went well getting to know each other's families.

We love to cook together! For André's birthday, we took a cooking class and made homemade pasta and steak. It was delicious!

After almost a year together, Wendy knows that André is the guy for her, forever! André had known for quite some time and had been patiently waiting for Wendy to be ready to take the next big step in our relationship.

We celebrated one year of dating while in Czech for the second mission trip together in the summer of 2023. We got to lead the youth classes at English Camp again, and it was another great camp!

André took Wendy to lunch at their first-date spot, and then we went to Memorial Park. After a beautiful and heartfelt speech, André asked Wendy to marry him, and she said YES!!! We cannot wait to spend our lives together as the future Garcias!!!
