Recommended by the 9/11 Commission and passed by Congress in 2005, the REAL ID Act and implementing regulations, “establish minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibit federal agencies from accepting for certain official purposes noncompliant driver’s licenses and identification cards.”
Therefore, beginning May 7, 2025, anyone 18 years and older that plans to fly domestically or visit certain Federal facilities will need a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification (ie passport).
Why is REAL ID relevant to the wedding?
Pat being from Rhode Island and myself from Nashville, the majority of our guests will be booking air travel for our wedding weekend. REAL ID will be enacted the week of our wedding. We want to make sure no ones travel plans are disrupted by bringing this to your attention now.
Semiformal, but please come how you feel best! We don’t care what you wear while coming to celebrate with us—we’ll just be glad to have you there.
Definitely bring a coat just in case!
Is the welcome party for all guests?
Yes! Feel free to stop by ViewHouse Littleton on Friday from 7-10PM the night before the wedding!
Located in their courtyard, the welcome party is a come-as-you-please event to kick off the weekend and give us more time celebrating with our loved ones.
