Weston and Caroline's mothers first met at the Montana Wool Growers Convention in 1999. After a handful of years, the families had become close friends.

Our childhoods were filled with animals, outdoors, 4-H, FFA, and working with our families on the family sheep operations. Our families spent time together throughout our growing up years.

Caroline and Wes both attend Montana State. Go Cats! Weston majored in Range Science and Caroline in Agricultural Business. Both joined Greek life: Weston - Alpha Gamma Rho and Caroline - Sigma Alpha. In addition to being family friends, having overlapping social circles helped facilitate the eventual spark.

About three years ago, we kept running into each other... shearing at Helle's ranch, a wedding, Labor Day in Dillon, the AGR Testy Fest. We began dating, covertly, because we didn't want our families to know. Pretty soon it wasn't a secret because we showed up together at a Cats game to sit with Caroline's family.

While Weston was working on the family ranch, Caroline was still finishing school at MSU. Caroline then decided to pursue a masters in Applied Economics. Thousands of driving miles later and the rest is history!

Wes proposed in the prettiest spot in the mountains - Caroline said yes!
