We met through our mutual friend, Griffin. At the time, Weston was living with Griffin, and Mina and Griffin were working together at a bakery. Weston and Griffin loved hanging out outside, grilling amazing food, and sharing it with their neighbors. One day Griffin invited a couple of his coworkers over to join in the fun and that's the beginning of our story.

After that night, we all had so much fun, we started hanging out together, all the time, and we realized we had a lot in common. We were both passionate about our relationship with the Lord and felt the same way about many issues in the world. We loved to have fun and laugh and were both straightforward and honest; however, it wasn't until Mina came home for spring break, and sent Weston a song called “Fake Woke” that he thought this might be something worth pursuing. We hung out as often as we could before Mina had to go back. Once Mina was back in school, we started talking all the time. Every day, all day, we would text and send video messages to each other talking, about everything.

Then one fateful day, on 2/22/22 Weston called Mina and asked if she would go on a road trip with him to Colorado to attend his friend, Michael's wedding with him. She excitedly said yes, but still thought he meant just as friends for fun. It wasn't until a couple of days later when a package arrived from Weston with a ton of goodies and one of the sweetest letters she had ever read, that she realized it was a date! And their journey was just beginning.
