Our story began in 2018, meeting one another by coincidence after our respective friends stopped to greet each other. We both anxiously waited for them to introduce us to one another. After parting ways, we curiously searched one another up on Instagram, and the rest was history. (Thank goodness for social media!)

A four year difficult journey of long distance dating began, where we were lucky enough to see one another when Andrew received some time to spend at home during his off weekends.

Gratefully, as time went by, Whania was also able to travel to Nelspruit or Kimberley to minimize the time spent away from one another.

A bitter sweet moment occurred years later when Andrew unfortunately obtained an injury, but received an offer to play close to home and the long distance journey would come to an end.

A new journey would begin.

After having serious discussions about our future, we decided that it would be best to settle down in Paarl, and the house hunting would commence.

Little to our surprise, we ended up settling on the home that Whania spent her entire life in.

And of course, the moment that led to this paragraph that you are reading happened. We got engaged on the 17th of December 2024 at the breathtaking Rhebokskloof farm, and the rest was history!

We have seen one another grow from shy and unsure young adults to grown, independent and strong-willed individuals.

We are extremely excited to start this journey as husband and wife and for all our loved ones to witness our story grow in the prescence of God.
