Things to Do

If you know me well, then you know a Recommendations tab like this is where I FLOURISH because I am known for finding all the good things to do and eat wherever I am going, I love giving people ideas on where to go and try new things. Hopefully you can find something in here to bide your time while you are staying in town for the wedding!

Food Recommendations

- Agave & Rye : known for their epic tacos and some weird combinations. This is Dylan and Whitney's favorite place to eat in Louisville. It has eclectic decor and tacos, what else would you expect?

- Recbar : known for its rows of pinball and arcade games. You do not have to be 21+ to enter until after 10. They are a bar, and also known for some interesting food combinations, but its our second favorite restaurant. There is one in Indiana and Kentucky.

- Highland Morning : arguably the best brunch place in Louisville. This is definitely Dylan and Whitney's favorite local brunch spot.

- Mt. Fuji : known for fast food hibachi and sushi. Located on UofL's campus. Dylan and Whitney highly recommend that if you are in the mood for hibachi, but don't want to deal with the expense of the sit-down show, that you hit up Mt. Fuji while you are in town. Their hibachi is enough for two meals if you sub the veggies for extra rice (just saying).

- The Post : known for cheap, big pizza and being open late. If you are up late and craving pizza, we would definitely recommend the Post.

- Spinelli's : another pizza place known for being open late into the night. There are a few in Louisville and 1-2 in Indiana near the wedding venue and hotel.

- Golden Buddha : if you are looking to get Chinese food while you are in town, the Carpenter side of this wedding has ALWAYS gone to Golden Buddha off Preston Hwy. You can get family sized portions and get leftovers, or you can get individual meals.

- Oskar's Slider Bar : known for its sliders. Get 2-3 sliders and their tater tots as well as an Ale8, and you are set! Dark atmosphere with a bar.

- The Eagle : fried chicken and Southern comfort food. If you are super sensitive to spice, some of their items could be too much for you. Dylan and Whitney recommend their fried chicken sandwich, fries with aioli, and macaroni and cheese.

- Graeters : some of the best ice cream in Louisville.

Drink Recommendations

- Sunergos : coffee in Louisville. I highly recommend that if you are wanting coffee to stop by and get some from Sunergos.

- Fantes Coffee : coffee in Louisville. I highly recommend you grab a coffee from Fantes as well.

- O'Sheas : our favorite non-dog bar to go out too. Have food, boozy milkshakes, and a bar. A chill atmosphere if you go earlier in the evening, more loud and upbeat environment as it gets later.

- PG&J's Dog Bar : you do not have to have a dog to get into PG&J's, but be aware that there will be a lot of dogs there. Dylan and Whitney's go-to bar a lot of the time since they can take the girls with.

- Recbar : mentioned above in food recommendations also. They have really good cocktails and a large amount of beers on tap.
