Our Wedding

Our story begins almost 18 years ago! Sam, a proud native Floridian, and Whitney, a Yankee by birth but a Southerner at heart, met through a mutual friend and went through a long story of personal ups and downs before finally ending up together in 2014. Going on 8 years, they knew it was forever. On August 28th, 2022 Sam set up fake dinner plans that culminated in surprising Whitney with a proposal at Kraft Azalea Park. She said yes, and here we are! Sam & Whitney are excited to make it official on July 8th, 2023!

Ryan has been my best friend since we were 15. We’re family. I can always count on him to be the Angel Fred Flintstone on my shoulder when I have one of my patented sketchy ideas. He’s one of the best people you will ever meet.

I met Natazha shortly before I moved to Orlando, in line for something embarrassing at the Virgin Megastore. We bonded over shared interests and we’ve been besties ever since. Natazha would do anything for the people she loves and I’m lucky to have her in my life.

We met in the most random way, in Los Angeles, 2500 miles from where we both lived in Florida. We literally became best friends within about 24 hours and have been ride or die since. Our adventures have taken us all over the world and I couldn’t have a better partner in crime.

Beth is the best bonus friend ever! She married my friend Ryan 10 years ago and embraced me and my chaos with so much love and grace! I love her no nonsense, tell it like it is philosophy and I’m so happy Ryan picked her…because I get to be her friend too!

Jill and I met at the airport as we were about to leave on a trip together. It’s a long story 🤣. That was the first of many airport trips for us though, and we’ve been besties since. She’s a great friend and a great person-and she can drive the Hollywood Hills with her eyes closed.

Our venue is pretty centrally located, so almost anywhere you stay will just be a few miles from the event, and steps away from one of Florida’s best beaches!

If you’re looking for a great meal with an authentic beachside ambience, JB’s is the place! It’s our favorite New Smyrna restaurant! The hush puppies are second to none and the rock shrimp cakes are amazing!

Sam says the sandwiches here are among the best in Florida. Whitney says the sandwiches have nothing on the desserts. You should probably try both! Grab some lunch here to go and enjoy some time on the beach!

One of our favorite beaches! The beachfront area of the park has restrooms, large picnic pavilions, showers and nearly 800’ of direct beachfront sidewalk that overlooks this remote and beautiful beach area.  The riverside park area is located a short distance across S. Atlantic Avenue and has tennis, pickle ball, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground, fishing pier and restrooms.
