First and foremost, we hope that you all are well. This is an incredibly difficult time for so many reasons, and we truly hope that you all have been impacted on a minimal level.
There have been a lot of questions about our wedding plans, so we thought it might be useful to post here that the wedding is still on and you all are still invited. With our venue being the home of Whitney's parents, and therefore on private property, we do not have any concerns of vendors canceling. Our vision from the beginning has been to have a beautifully set, but mostly fun celebration with all our friends and family. This vision has not changed. If anything, it has only been strengthened by COVID-19. We do want to make sure to communicate that we have given this some serious thought and consideration, and feel it's the right decision for us.
We know that there may be those that will not want to travel for health or financial reasons in the upcoming months and we completely understand and respect if this applies to you. We want you to do what's best for you and your family. Our wish would be that everyone could be there to help us celebrate, but know that even under the best of circumstances this is an impossible expectation (let alone during an f-ing pandemic). Obviously we will miss anyone that won't be able to make it for whatever reason - we hope you know that you will be in our thoughts and on our hearts on July 3rd.
FYI: The invitations have officially gone out! We're guessing you're most likely going to read this if you got it. Thank you in advance for the RSVPs (of yes or no)! It's going to be really helpful for us to know just how much alcohol - sorry, no coronas - and cake (Whitney's priorities) we will be purchasing. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to text Pierce, because you know he has all the answers... for everything.
In all seriousness, we hope you are well and healthy. We think about all of you often and are looking forward to brighter days with everyone.
Love,
Pierce & Whit
P.S. If you are planning to attend and are traveling from out of state, let us know when you will be arriving!

Most people don't know that Pierce and Whitney have known each other for over a decade now. They met while playing their respective sports at Colorado State University. Basketball and Track/Cross Country. Pierce was obviously the Cross Country runner. Whitney will never forget the first time she saw Pierce. Pierce will never forget the first time Whitney turned him down.
It wasn't until the end of their fourth year of college that Pierce and Whitney's friendship really started. Whitney convinced Pierce to be a contestant in an awards/talent show called The Rammies. Pierce didn't win but he was able to get his revenge on Whitney for turning him down almost four years prior. The next few years after that are a bit hazy for both the bride and groom to be, but their paths would cross from time to time. One thing Whitney knows for sure about that hazy time is that she has been calling Pierce the "love of her life" for a while now.
They reconnected in the summer of 2018 at a bar in Fort Collins. Actually, as timing would have it, Whitney's 20 oz. glass of beer broke and spilled all over her as Pierce walked in washing away any chance of awkwardness. Kidding. It was awkward. They were both super nervous. Despite the nerves and spilled beer, their friendship rekindled and a pretty amazing journey began... The most amazing part being Whitney convincing Pierce that he liked Laramie, WY.
Quite a bit of life has happened since that first date, lots of miles have been driven, too many hours on Facetime have been spent, and some big decisions and changes have been made. Pierce and Whitney are now living happily in Fort Collins, doing life together and looking forward to what the future holds. Sometimes it all seems like a dream to them.
