There was once a Facebook dating app.

Facebook determined that we could possibly be a good match for each other....about the only thing Facebook has been good for haha (besides Marketplace)! We started texting and then chatting on the phone! Erik had a blast meeting in Colestrip, MT about an 8-hour round trip drive but decided we should meet that evening! So the road warrior he is, made it happen!

The first date: August 4th, 2021

Erik came and picked Whitney up, first he decided we should go to Cabela's. Little did Whitney know....this was her first test! We toured around Cabela's and looked at guns, camping, and fishing gear. Erik bought Whitney salt water taffy and Whitney knew he had already almost sealed the deal! After Cabela's we traveled to Fuji Steakhouse for a fun night of Hibachi, yes we both caught the flying broccoli!! At the night's end, Erik swooped in for a kiss, which "Sealed the Deal" for Whitney. We have almost been inseparable since. Scrubs and Xander immediately knew Erik was the one as well, there might have been some bones and treats involved.

In April of 2023, we traveled to Curacao, the same resort you will be attending! We had an amazing time at Dreams Resort, touring the island and snorkeling. This was Erik's first all Inclusive Resort experience and deep-sea fishing adventure! He even landed a 60-pound Yellowfin Tuna! The crystal clear turquoise water had Whitney hooked! We told ourselves "WE WOULD BE BACK!"

December of 2023, we traveled to Huatulco, Mexico with our parents. We introduced our families to the all-inclusive resort style at Secrets Huatulco. We enjoyed the beach life, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, and a fun food tour! Whitney landed a beautiful Mahi Mahi, which the resort prepared for a delicious dinner!

On December 14th Erik gained the courage to "POP THE BIG QUESTION" he proposed on a breathtaking beach with a beautiful diamond ring! Of course, Whitney said "YES." The rest is History!

Erik admires how much she cares for her two corgis and thought she would do a great job taking care of me too!
