The wedding venue is in Pebble Beach, in between Monterey, CA and Carmel, CA. Please feel free to stay in either location. We have reserved some hotel rooms, however there are many large hotels, bed and breakfasts, and houses available in the area. We will update the information as it becomes available.

Staying in Monterey and Carmel

The closest major airports to Carmel, CA are San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San Jose International Airport (SJC). It is approximately a 2 hour drive from the airports to Carmel. The Monterey Airbus provides shuttles from SFO and SJC on a regular basis. Reservations for the Airbus can be made at <a href="http://www.montereyairbus.com/">http://www.montereyairbus.com/</a>. The regional airport is Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) which has flights to and from Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.

Renting a home through VRBO is a great option for large groups of friends or families that want to stay together or plan to extend their vacation beyond the wedding weekend. If you are interested in staying in a house with a larger group, Monterey, CA allows short term house rentals. Unfortunately, Carmel-By-The-Sea does not typically allow short term house rentals.

Carmel-by-the-Sea

The Basilica of San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo Mission (Carmel Mission) was founded by Fr. Junipero Serra in 1770, making it the second of the 21 California missions. Though San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo Mission was founded in Monterey, it was quickly decided that Carmel-by-the-Sea was a more appropriate location for its purpose. The fledgling establishment was moved to the Rio Road site in 1771 and the Carmel mission was dedicated in 1797. Fr. Serra was buried within its grounds.
