Like many modern love stories, Cody and Whitney’s began with a simple swipe. After matching on Bumble, Cody wasted no time asking Whitney out for drinks. They met at West Side Social, only to be greeted with a two-hour wait. Thinking quickly, Cody suggested a hole in the wall bar near his house—Ironwood.

As they sat at the bar, chatting, laughing, and getting to know each other, time seemed to fly. Whitney had a firm "no dinner on the first date" rule—after all, who wants to sit through an entire meal if things go south? But after three hours of great conversation and undeniable chemistry, hunger won out. They split a basket of fries—an unexpected but perfect first dinner.

Five hours later, they both knew this was something special. So special, in fact, that they met again the very next day for their second date—where Whitney fully abandoned her "no dinner" rule and devoured a cheeseburger while Cody sipped on soup.

Since that unforgettable first date, they’ve traveled across the U.S., taken countless walks with their pups, camped and adventured in the U.P. with family, and built a life they love. They sold their homes, found their perfect little slice of heaven, and transformed it together—renovating their house, starting a hobby farm (hello, chickie girls!), and hosting pool parties, dinners, and Friendsgiving celebrations with their favorite people.
