Mitch was a junior and Whitney was a sophomore when they finally crossed paths at the University of Mississippi. The day they met in person was a very special day for the Ole Miss Rebels: they beat Alabama at home for the first time in 11 years.

Mitch and Whitney knew of each other since they are both from Southern Illinois. Mitch is from Murphysboro and Whitney is from Herrin, which made them about 30 minutes apart. They love to joke about how they went to school five hours away to meet someone who is so close to home.

After almost six years of being in each other's lives, moving back to Southern Illinois, starting their careers, becoming frenchie parents, and making many wonderful memories, Mitch proposed to Whitney on July 3rd, 2020 at Blue Sky Vineyards.

They have decided to say "I do" on July 17th, 2021 in the place where it all began: Oxford, Mississippi.
