Q + A

WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?

Please RSVP by December 31st so we can have an accurate headcount.

WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is the closest airport to fly into.

Note that your passport needs to be valid for at least six months from the date that you enter Indonesia and that you may require either a visa-on-arrival or regular visa depending on your nationality.

WHERE WILL THE WEDDING EVENTS TAKE PLACE?

The wedding events will take place at a set of two private villas called "The Surga" that we have booked from Friday to Sunday morning. We can't wait to host you there!

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

The Surga only has the capacity to accommodate 30 people and will therefore only be able to host the bride and groom's family. However, there are many options of accommodation nearby The Surga to suit a range of budgets. Whether you are looking for a more affordable option or a luxurious getaway, you will find exactly what you need!

Here are a few options (from least to most expensive):

- Swiss-Belresort Pecatu (19 mins by car)

- Four Points by Sheraton (Ungasan) (18 mins by car)

- Renaissance Bali Uluwatu (15 mins by car)

- Karma Kandara (4 mins by car)

Note that there are many other smaller boutique hotels and villas in the area that you may also want to consider.

WHEN SHOULD I COME TO THE SURGA?

Please navigate to the home page to view the full wedding schedule.

WHAT ABOUT TRANSPORTATION?

Grab and Gojek (ride-hailing apps) are the most common ways for tourists to get around and are relatively inexpensive. These are services are easily available until around midnight in the Uluwatu area. Alternatively, you can ask your villa/ hotel for transportation options or can also look into car rentals or getting a driver.

Noted that until 11pm on Saturday, we will have 2 shuttles available at the villa to bring guests back to their accommodation.

Note that we advise to leave ample time for traveling as traffic in Bali can get congested.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

June is one of the best months to visit Bali – sunshine is at its peak, and it's blue skies all the way with average temperatures of 27°C. As it's not 'high season' yet though, visitor numbers are fairly low, so restaurants and beaches shouldn't be too crowded.

IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The wedding will be outdoors.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

The dress code ranges from formal for the wedding ceremony and dinner to casual for the farewell brunch and otherwise smart casual. You can view the recommended attire for different parts of the wedding on the wedding rundown.

1) Ladies: Think slip dress, midi/maxi/long dress, long jumpsuit. Avoid pointed heels (you'll be walking on grass), white and red colours.

2) Gentlemen: Think long-sleeved button-down shirt, long pants. Jacket and tie/bowtie are only required during the ceremony.

If you think you may take a dip in the pool during the BBQ pool party on Friday or wedding party on Saturday, we recommend bringing a swimsuit and towel with you. Exposed tattoos are fine! Do also consider bringing a light sweater in case the wind makes things chilly in the evening.

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

Children are most welcome to our celebration! If you plan to bring kids with you, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist with any arrangements necessary to ensure everyone's comfort and enjoyment.

SHOULD WE GET GIFTS? WHAT GIFTS WOULD BE BEST?

As we celebrate our love at this special destination, we understand that bringing physical gifts can be challenging. If you are considering a gift to commemorate our union, we therefore kindly suggest a monetary contribution to support our journey together. You may refer to the details in the following link should you wish to do this via electronic means: https://bit.ly/wil-lily-wedding. On the other hand, if you do have a particularly meaningful physical gift in mind, we just kindly ask that you consider their portability as we will have limited space to bring carry gifts back after the wedding. Your love and understanding mean the world to us!
