Tori and I first crossed paths on Tinder, but not how most would expect! See Tori and I both were not avid Tinder users. Once in a blue moon we would jump on for a few minutes before asking ourselves, "What am I doing here?" Safe to say, Tinder was not our go-to app for trying to meet our significant other. But, the Lord had other plans for our life together! After matching on Tinder, and a quick "What's good shawty?", I waited for the next three days for a reply...but none came. So, after three days, I checked back on her profile and saw that Tori's Instagram handle was there. After finding her Instagram, and seeing that we had 30+ mutual friends, I added her. She QUICKLY added me back (duh), and our connection began! The real catalyst here was Halloween of 2022. It all started when Tori shared a fun photo of herself dressed as a pirate. I couldn’t resist swiping up on her story to make a playful comment about her costume, which I was rather infatuated with, and for some reason, Tori played along. That casual DM sparked a conversation that quickly turned into something much more meaningful. It took a week of DM'ing back and forth, but I finally got her phone number after a few well-delivered pirate jokes! From there, the snowball effect takes place. We found ourselves laughing, getting to know each other, and sharing more about our lives in a way that felt so natural.What began as a lighthearted interaction quickly evolved into something special. Our connection deepened as we realized just how much we had in common and how easy it was to talk to each other. What I thought would be a quick, fun conversation turned into the start of a beautiful journey together. From Instagram DMs to real-life dates, our bond only grew stronger, and soon, we couldn't imagine life without each other. Now, we’re here, excited to share this next chapter of our story with all of you. It’s amazing to think that it all started with a pirate costume and a swipe up on a Halloween story!

A Tinder Tale - Will's Version

Love truly does find you when you least expect it. While casually scrolling on Instagram one day, I noticed a follow request from a cute redheaded guy. (Later, I found out he discovered me through my very unresponsive Tinder account) Naturally, I started scrolling through his profile to see who he was and wondered how we had so many mutual friends, yet had never crossed paths.&nbsp;&nbsp; Not long after I accepted his request, he “slid in my DMs” commenting on my Halloween costume. At first, it was all fun and games, but then he asked for my number. My response? “I’m not giving my number to a stranger!” However, with his humor and charm, he eventually convinced me to share it. Shortly after, he asked me on a date. I still have the texts where he joked about taking me to Windsor Jewelers to get my ring size ;) a totally foreshadowing moment, because that’s exactly where he got my ring two years later!&nbsp;&nbsp; Before our first date, I was so nervous I spent an hour pacing my friend’s apartment. But once we started talking over some Mellow Mushroom, the nerves quickly faded away. From there, we kept hanging out and going on dates, getting to know each other better with every moment.&nbsp;&nbsp; About three months into meeting, Will told me, “I really like you. How does being my girlfriend sound?” But then he added, “You’ll need to meet my parents first because they need to approve.” No pressure, right? I was so nervous going into that rendezvous with such high stakes! But I met his family, and the next night, he met mine. That same evening, after meeting each other’s parents, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.&nbsp;&nbsp; When we started dating, I was in graduate school with about two semesters left. I told Will that once I graduated, I had no intention of staying in Augusta. Without hesitation, he responded, “Me either.” He asked where I wanted to live, and I told him Chattanooga was one of my top choices. It just so happened that Will had gone to college in Chattanooga and had always wanted to move back. It felt like it was meant to be. In September 2023, I took a job and a leap of faith and moved to Chattanooga, and we did long distance until April 2024, when Will joined me. Now here we are, building a life together with the cutest miniature dachshund, Chipper, and exploring our new city. All of this to say, it’s been such an amazing chapter in our lives filled with love, laughter, and adventure. As this chapter closes and a new one begins, we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!&nbsp;&nbsp;

One of our all-time favorite brunch spots. If you choose to go here, you have to try the tater tots! Will would recommend the french toast for the meal whereas Tori would recommend the 2AM bagel. Enjoy a charcoal bloody mary if you are feeling adventurous!

Oddstory Brewing Co: Central

The coolest speakeasy with amazing drinks! When you walk in the password is above the telephone booth to get inside. This is one of our favorite spots to go grab a cocktail on date night. Tori discovered this when her mom came to visit shortly after moving to Chattanooga and it quickly became both Will and Tori's favorite spot. We recommend their whiskey sour so much so that we make their recipe at home on occasions! If you want to grab food beforehand - the owners own a ramen place right down the road called Attack of the Tatsu!

Attached to the Edwin Hotel is a beautiful rooftop bar with one of the best views of the river.

Before leaving town, we recommend walking through the Chattanooga Market on Sunday between 11am-4pm. They have amazing vendors!

If you're up for a hike - October is one of the best times to do it! Cloudland canyon is one of our favorites. We like to use to app "All Trails" to show the many different routes you can take.
