Our Wedding

Our story began in November 2023 during our senior year at Oklahoma State University. Willa had been working at Aspen Coffee for several years when Braden applied for a job there. He interviewed with Tara, the manager, who jokingly told Willa, “I just hired your future husband.” The next week, Tara scheduled Willa to train Braden — and that’s when we met for the first time.Braden didn’t say much that day, but over time we became close friends, making countless memories together behind the coffee bar. It wasn’t until late February 2024 that Braden finally asked Willa out on a date. With graduation just two months away, Willa was hesitant —but she said yes.For our first date, we had a picnic at Lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater. When Braden’s original dinner plan fell through, he picked up Braum’s (Willa’s favorite) on the way to a picnic spot he had scoped out the day before. We listened to music (Braden went though Willa’s Spotify and made a playlist of all of her favorite songs), shared our “fancy” meal, and watched the stars while getting to know each other.The next two months were filled with sweet memories and more fun dates. Just two days after graduation, Braden moved back to Missouri, and a month later Willa moved to Dallas. For the next year and a half, we committed to long distance — driving seven hours on free weekends just to spend a day or two together.On January 3, 2026, Willa flew to New York City for a girls’ trip, not knowing Braden was planning a surprise. Just two days after returning from Hawaii, he flew to New York and nervously waited by a pond in Central Park. Dressed up for their first night in the city, Willa and her friends started the evening with a walk through the park — and she was completely shocked to see Braden standing there.By the water in Central Park, Braden got down on one knee and asked Willa to marry him. After she said yes, we celebrated with a magical night in the city before Braden caught an early flight home the next morning.And the rest is history 🤍

Our ceremony and reception in Stillwater on July 25, 2026 will be semi-formal. Think long or short dresses or dressy separates for women and suits or dress shirts for men; ties are optional. Light layers are a good idea for summer evenings. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
