Our Wedding

Casey and Will's story started like many in our current years, over a little app known as Tinder. They matched on April 2nd 2019 and very quickly started talking. They talked about numerous things ranging from video games and fantasy, to real life goals and dreams. Feeling like Casey was a cool person, Will invited her over to his how to hang out with his roommate at the time Christian and friend Kris to play a little game called Dark Souls. At the time, they had been playing through the game, taking a shot after every two deaths, deeming the run "Drunk Souls". Having a good head on her shoulders, Casey declined the offer, but in return asked Will to meet up the very next day. Will accepted, but little did he know that he would be taking 20+ shots that night leading to a horrible hang over and constant vomiting the next day. Will awoke 30 minutes before the planned time to meet and immediately ran to his studio space at the Chico State campus to freshen up before meeting Casey. He dolled himself up to look nice very quickly, but realized the alcohol stench was still on his breath. He preceded to spend the next 5 minutes straight, brushing his teeth and vomiting on repeat until eventually giving up. He ran to the meet up spot (a Starbucks downtown) and there Casey was, graciously waiting on Will who was probably 10-15 minutes late at this point. The two then spent the next 15 HOURS (noon to 3 AM) hanging out with one another and talking about everything they possibly could. From this point forward they were with each other nearly every day for the next few weeks. Toward the end of April, Will asked if Casey would like to go out with him, which she declined, saying that she had just moved to Chico two months prior and wanted to be single for a bit before going on dates. Hope was not lost though, because she also said that when she's ready, she would ask Will out. After deciding to be friends and being content, Casey asked Will out Friday, May 19th, 2019. Will took Casey to La Salles (which no longer exists) on May 24th, 2019 for their first date; and after a few weeks of only dating, they decided to make it official and be a couple on June 13th, 2019. Will and Casey have been though a lot of ups and downs in their relationship, but agreed that, NO MATTER WHAT, they would look at the future together and deal with it as a team. Through this time they talked a lot about marriage and Casey's disbelief in it, but on May 3rd, 2023, Will proposed. After many talks about how she didn't want to get married and she was happy being how they were, Casey decided to take the leap and said YES. This now leads to where we are now, getting married on June 13th, 2026; 7 years to the date from when Will and Casey first decided to commit to one another, but this time, for life ♥

The first year of high school, I met Katie in English class and knew we were going to be close friends. Over a decade later, she is now my Maid of Honor!

We started becoming friends in high school when Katie introduced me to him (them being in the same culinary class together). After that, it was all of us in our own little crew!

We started becoming friends working at Upper Crust. We would act a fool with each other, maybe annoying other coworkers in the process, and that grew into us becoming really close friends!

I met Geoffrey through Will as they were part of the arts program at Chico State. I became friends with Geoff as we had a mutual like for each others unique personalities.

I met Big Zaddy working at Upper Crust. I didn't know many people there, but through Laurel and Will, we started hanging out outside of work more and more and became friends.

I met Jamie the same way I met Big Zaddy; through Upper Crust. We all started hanging outside work and I appreciated her extraverted personality, so her and I became friends.

We met toward the end of my time in college. We didn't know much about each other at first, but after I invited her to play DnD she became one of my best friends in the whole world.

When I worked at Uppercrust Bakery in Chico, Richard got rehired as a cook. I didn't know much about him at first, but after talking every day we grew very close. Number one Husbando!

In my second year of college I was looking for a place to live and Christian graciously let me move in with him. We spent a few years as roommates and in that time we've been through a lot, and I mean A LOT. An amazing person and a real ride or die.

The person I've known the longest in my wedding party. Since high school, Brandon has always accepted me for who I am, and my gateway into being addicted to World of Warcraft longer than I thought I'd be. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be where I am today, and I mean that literally.

Brandon "Boom" Lessard

Elias was introduced to me by Brandon back in high school and he was also my first roommate in college! If it wasn't for Elias I would have dropped out long before I met the other people in this party. He helped me my first year or so in college cope with homesickness, and was one of the best people I could have been with in those times.

Elias "E God" Godines

The newest person in my party, and is no less a big homie. Christian's old roommate after I moved out and a super funny dude. We always love to bag on Christian for everything, and when Jose is around I know I'll always have a fun time.

Our wedding will take place at Granlibakken Tahoe Ski Resort. It is located on the North Western part of the lake and at the end of a road with the same name.

The road takes you through a neighborhood until you hit a sign shown below. Everything past this sign is apart of the resort.

You would follow the path up and around the hill until you get to the building shown below. This is the lobby where you will check into your room if you are apart of the wedding block.

Here is a map of the entire grounds, the hotel block and the wedding location are located in the area marked in red while the lobby is marked in blue.

The theme for our wedding is viking, NO SUITS AND TIES!! Below we have listed examples of acceptable attire for our event, so please follow the dress code! People not following will be shunned.
