William and Shelby first met junior year of high school in math class. When they were placed at the same table in class, William had the clever idea to get Shelby’s phone number by suggesting the table group make a group chat to discuss homework. Naturally, the group chat was never used, but the two did start talking regularly. They started dating in November of that year and dated throughout the remainder of high school.

Upon high school graduation, Shelby moved to San Marcos for college and William to San Angelo. They spent the next 4 years long distance seeing each other on weekends whenever they could. After 6 years together, William got down on one knee. And finally, after 7 years together, they will be starting the rest of their lives together as husband and wife.
