Our Wedding

Our story began freshman year of highschool when Janie and I were assigned to sit next to each other in history class. We had been in the same grade at Covenant for 2 years without taking much notice of each other, but all it took was a few lectures on Ancient Mesopotamia and I was drawing "Janie Flowers" on my notes right next to her. That year saw the progression from drawing flowers to passing sticky notes to mutually being "annoyed" at why everyone thought we liked each other, culminating on May 14th, 2019 when I asked Janie out despite both of our legal inabilities to drive (I guess dating Janie was worth a few months of awkward car rides with parents).We didn't know it yet, but this was just the beginning of 6 years of dating and two bestfriends soon to be married on May 30th, 2026. From sophomore year and on, Janie and I slowly became the best of friends, spending as much time together as we possibly could. Whether that meant driving to school together, and her waiting for me in the library till xc practice was over to drive her home, going to all of each others games/meets, and performing in musicals together, Janie and I had so much fun falling in love in those years. When it came time to choose a college, Janie and I knew for a while that we would likely end up at different places, and soon it became clear that we would be attempting long distance with Janie going to Baylor and myself to Georgia. With everything there is a learning curve, but it maybe would've been nice to know how steep it was going to be for us (for me), but we (me) found our way and slowly learned that absence does in fact make the heart grow fonder. I had been aware of it for a while, but it was during the long-distance years that I began to truly understand how blessed I was to be dating Janie Kull. I have had the privilege of getting the front row seat to watching Janie realize the depth of God's love for her and mirroring the fraction of it that is humanly possible to those around her. They say that you've found the one if they treat every person they meet, including drive-thru workers, like an old-friend. Seeing Janie do that, I could not be more certain that we are meant to serve the Lord and each other through marriage for the rest of our days!

We have a room block at The Beeman Hotel for our wedding weekend. Guests can choose between one king bed or two queen beds, book for one or two nights, and shoulder dates are available if you need to extend your stay. The hotel is currently being renovated and will be renamed the Mockingbird Hotel by mid-February. Your reservation and room block will remain the same. Free parking is available at the hotel and we recommend booking early, as rooms are limited. We are so excited to celebrate with you all!

Civil Pour is one of our favorite coffee shops in Dallas and a place that we have spent countless hours together! They make a great lavendar latte and also have amazing panini sandwiches so would definitely recommend checking it out!

NorthPark Mall is where we had our first date for a movie and ice cream and so is a special place to us. It also happens to be the epicenter of Dallas shopping with just about every store you can imagine and plenty of food options making it worth a visit!
