Is there anything better than running into fellow wedding guests while grabbing your morning coffee or a late night drink? We have a few favorite local spots that we highly recommend—both because we love them, and because we’d love for you all to end up in the same place!
Kitt's Kitchen + Coffee [2001 A Avenue] has a huge variety of artisan coffee drinks and a de.li.cious. breakfast + brunch menu! There's plenty of seating if you choose to stay a bit and hang out with other guests!
Just a 3 minute's walk from the reception venue, Whistlin' Wolf [12 E 21st St] is a neatly-decorated, fairly-priced cocktail lounge for guests to gather when they aren't ready for the party to end! There is plenty of comfy seating to give your dancing feet a break. The best part—it's open until 1AM!
Come on... how adorable is the Golden Spoon? Also located downtown [11 N Railroad St], it's undoubtedly the best place in town to grab a cool treat in the August heat!
If you're spending a little extra time in Kearney, Yanney Park [2020 W 11th St] is well worth a stroll. It’s 80 acres of beautifully landscaped space, and the new sculpture garden is such a gem! These giant poppy sculptures are just one of many pieces of artwork on display, including an original Chihuly glass piece!
Downtown’s Museum of Nebraska Art [2401 Central Ave] just added a striking modern wing to its original 1911 building. If you’ve got a little extra time in town, it’s definitely a spot Kearney is proud of!
(Can you tell we love downtown Kearney yet?) Jonny Maitland [2027 Central Ave] is perfection! It’s a beautifully curated home, antique, and lifestyle shop just two blocks from the venue—full of things you didn't know you needed!
Right next to all the neighboring hotels, Cunningham's on the Lake [610 Talmadge St Suite A] is a classic American restaurant with the pub grub and craft beers we all crave during a wedding weekend. Cool off inside or grab a seat on their adorable, flower-filled, lakeside patio!
