We met through mutual friends at our local bar, Junior first noticed Shawney over a forced slice of pizza (she is always trying to feed him) and Shawney first noticed Juniors outgoing and loud personality. Once Shawney realized Junior wasn’t homeless and had a respectable job, she agreed to play a game of darts, and the rest is history. That was where everything began, the connection was undeniable, and an unexpected friendship was formed.

Junior loved Shawneys caring personality, she has been thoughtful and looked out for him since the beginning. Always showing her love through his stomach. He loves her ‘live in the moment’ mentality and all the adventures she drags him on, he loves experiencing life with her by his side and loves watching her as a friend and a mother and the large support system that comes along with that. It is important to Junior that he can be himself even though it usually embarrasses her, she is always by his side laughing and shaking her head at his antics.

Shawney has found the spark her life was missing. The fun loving, loud, and often obnoxious personality that Junior brings to the table is exactly what she didn’t know she needed. She was drawn to his eccentric take on life but his willingness to blend with her friends and family was what truly made her realize he was more than what meets the eye. Loving her children like his own and accepting the loud crazy lifestyle she led was what solidified her love for him.

Life has thrown more at us than ever expected; career ups and downs, health issues, and tragedy brought us closer than ever expected. We would not have been able to get through the last few years without the love and support of each other. We are the couple that wasn’t supposed to make it but did. We look forward to celebrating our love for each other with everyone who has supported us along the way.
