Our Story

Willy and Madi’s journey began on April 23, 2022, when they met through mutual friends in Indianapolis, Indiana. At the time, Madi was just days away from moving to Nashville, Tennessee for her clinical rotation, and Willy was gearing up to head to the University of South Carolina for a semester-long opportunity. Despite the distance, they made an effort to stay in touch. Throughout the summer of 2022, their friendship blossomed with text messages, FaceTime calls, Snapchats, and daily Wordle games. By August, it became clear that their meeting was no accident—it was God's plan coming to fruition. In December 2022, Willy and Madi officially entered a long-distance relationship. The love and support they had for each other helped them overcome the challenges of being apart. And finally, in March 2024, Willy made the move to Denver, CO, closing the gap for good. On December 14, 2024, they celebrated their two-year anniversary. That day, Willy’s coat pocket felt a little heavier than usual. Outside Denver’s Union Station, he asked Madi to be his life partner, and Madi joyfully said yes. A Heartfelt Thank YouWe can’t fully express how grateful we are to have all of you here with us as we celebrate this next chapter in our lives. We feel incredibly blessed to be hosting our wedding in beautiful Colorado, and we hope you take the time to enjoy the stunning Rocky Mountains while you’re here. We’re counting down the days—October 11th, here we come!

Happy Hour & Reception

Happy Hour: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Please join us for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Flats Beer Garden following the wedding ceremony. Guests will be provided with wristbands for complimentary drinks. The After Party

For those of you who want to keep the celebrations going, we will plan to meet at Rosetta Hall for a bar crawl in Downtown Boulder. Parking

If you are driving to the ceremony:1. Please park at Chautauqua Park and walk to Ranger Cottage (Kinnikinnick Rd, Boulder, CO 80302).2. Once parked, a shuttle will pick you up and drive you to the ceremony (4-minute drive). Look for 1 of 2 black Ford Transit Vans with a Whatley Wedding Sign at the bus stop in front of Ranger Cottage. Important:Please be parked NO LATER THAN 11:00 AM to ensure you have time to ride the shuttle and be seated. After the Ceremony:Drivers will be shuttled back to their cars.

Transportation

Transportation services will be provided to and from the Wedding Ceremony. There will also be one-way transportation to the Wedding Reception.

Parking + Transportation

Denver International Airport (DIA) is the closest airport to the wedding venues and hotel block. DIA also services all major rental car companies, which is likely the most convenient form of transportation during our wedding weekend. There is not a reliable form of public transportation to access all events of the wedding, however ride shares (I.e. Uber, Lyft) are available from DIA as well.

Courtyard Boulder Broomfield is conveniently located northwest of Denver, and is less than 10 miles from the wedding ceremony site, reception site, and downtown Boulder. We advise planning to book your hotel early, as there is a home CU-Boulder football game during this weekend. We anticipate hotel prices and availability to reflect this accordingly. Coors Brewery in Golden, CO offers tours of the brewing and packaging process of your favorite Coors products. Tours are available only on Fridays, and require a reservation.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is open to the public during non-event times for self-guided viewing! The venue also has park trails for a small but stunning hike around the amphitheater.

Rocky Mountain Arsenal offers free admission to a front row seat to view some of those most impressive, native wildlife in Colorado. There are 11 miles of vehicle access to view all that the refuge has to offer! Open from sunrise to sunset.

October in Colorado is beloved for the changing leaf colors of Aspen groves! Be sure to research trail details for level of difficulty and mileage to complete.
