Our Wedding

Joyful. Fun. Exciting. Life with Emma is all of those things and so much more (Yes, this is William speaking). Thank you for finding our website and taking the time to read this.&nbsp; Emma &amp; William first crossed paths in 2021 at a Cru Fall Retreat during our sophomore year of college. We both volunteered for a game where two people from each grade had to wrap each other in toilet paper, and the grade to do it the fastest won. William &amp; Emma would not typically volunteer for something like this, but individually, they thought, "Meh, what the heck!" So, Emma wrapped William in toilet paper as quickly as possible, and they got second place. Funny enough, someone took a picture of the ending, so now we have a picture of the first time we met (shown above). That night, we unintentionally sat next to each other playing cards and found out we had a class together. We became friends through that class we shared and eventually attended the same church. This church family grew to be an important part of our lives, and the Lord brought those who attended our Bible studies and church to become some of our dearest friends. Our Bible studies through Cru met at the same time and place, unbeknownst to us. Our bible studies collaborated one night for a game night, and our friend group was formed. We all shared many weeknights and adventures, and William and Emma got to know each other better in friendship over time. Eventually, we shared our feelings for each other and started dating in August 2022. We have grown closer since then and enjoyed many hikes and homework assignments together. We also lead for Young Life and are graduating college this May with a Master’s degree.&nbsp; After dating for almost two and a half years, William surprised Emma with a proposal in Hoosier National Forest. We have an occasional date night where we go to a campsite, make food, and hang out around the fire. On December 19th, we went to a campsite and ate chili around a fire that struggled to stay lit. Emma had a hunch that William would ask that night, but as we finished cleaning up, she began to lose hope. As Emma started to get into the truck to leave, William came around and shut her door. He pulled out a remote and began to walk to the woods. Holding her hand, he clicked on lights as we walked down a path and lit up a backdrop he had created. That is where he proposed, and it was a special night! After taking pictures, we went to his house, where our friends were waiting to celebrate. We are so excited to get married, live for God, and celebrate with you at the wedding!

Jinsik and Will met at a Three Amigos 4 years ago through a good mutual friend named Elijah. The three of them ended up living together and becoming very close through their time in Bloomington. They’ve enjoyed growing in wisdom and stature and favor among God and men together.

Jessie and Emma met her freshman year of college at church, but did not become close friends until they figured out they were looking for a roommate at the same time Emma’s junior year. Since becoming roommates, Emma and Jessie have become very close friends. Jessie is wise, faithful and loving!

Colton and Will became close friends during sophomore year of high school. They’ve been through almost everything together and have so many fun stories and memories.

Mia is Emma’s youngest sister and they have gotten closer as they have grown older. Mia is a bundle of joy and a supportive sister.

Andrew and Will met in middle school and became close friends sophomore year of high school. Andrew introduced Will to the magic of V8 motors, but the jury is still out on whether Ford or Chevy is better.

Destiny and Emma met standing in line for a zip line event on campus freshman year. Destiny invited Emma to church and eventually became her discipler and close friend. Destiny has pushed Emma closer to Christ and is a faithful friend!

Cole and Will became close friends senior year of high school. They found themselves staying up too late working on cars or playing Euchre with Colton and Andrew. They have also had many great memories going camping and looking for Bigfoot.

Emma met Annie at church her freshman year and became closer friends initially through the Cru friend group and then individually. Annie loves well and has a heart for caring for and serving others.

Garrett and Will became close friends in the past couple of years as they lead for Young Life together, go to the same church, and Will helped Garrett work on his house this past summer. Garrett also enjoys hosting bonfires for their friends to enjoy.

Emma met Kyndall in 4th grade and they have been best friends ever since. They’ve shared a lot of life together and Kyndall is one of those friends that will always be there, even if you don’t talk all the time. She is sweet and kind!

Will and Eli met 4 years ago at a CRU Bible study and Eli ended up being his ride home which led to a conversation that lasted until 2 A.M. Eli told him that if he ever needed anything he should reach out. So one night Will locked himself out of his apartment. It was around midnight so he decided to take Eli up on his offer. Living together for one night turned into a semester and then years. They’ve had friends come and go as they’ve learned about each other and themselves and God. God be praised!

We highly recommend their breakfast (specifically the biscuits and gravy or the steak benedict)! Open 9 am to 2 pm.

Uptown Cafe

They have great breakfast and big pancakes. Open 8 am - 10 pm.

Runcible Spoon

They have great breakfast and are known for huge pancakes (the cinnamon roll pancake is a favorite!) Open 8 am - 3 pm.

Village Deli

They have great smoked meat platters for lunch or dinner, and it is one of Emma's favorite restaurants. Open 11 am to 12 pm.

SmokeWorks Bloomington

21+ only: This is a great place for lunch or dinner. Emma and William recommend the wings or the Nashville chicken sandwich with tots covered in beer cheese. Open 11 am - 1 am.
