DON'T FORGET TO RSVP BY APRIL 10TH, 2025!
We are excited to welcome you to our traditional Fuzhounese wedding! Our customs may be quite different from the typical weddings you’re used to. Instead of a formal ceremony, we celebrate with a grand banquet-style dinner and a tea ceremony. If you’ve never attended a Chinese wedding before, prepare for an experience that’s lively, unique, and full of energy! It will be very different—and very loud. So come with an open mind and get ready to celebrate with us!
Bring Cash! A cherished wedding tradition is the giving of Hong Bao (Red Envelopes) filled with cash to the bride and groom. This serves as our version of a wedding registry or gift-giving. Red envelopes will be available at the entrance for guests who wish to participate. These contributions are seen as blessings for the couple’s new life together. Our close relatives will be present to collect and record the Hong Bao.
If you haven’t seen our registry yet, feel free to check it out!
Chinese weddings are all about the food! Get ready to sit back, relax, and enjoy a family-style, multi-course banquet. You’ll likely encounter some dishes that are new or unfamiliar, so come with an open mind and an empty stomach!

Another important tradition in a Chinese wedding is the tea ceremony. Dressed in our traditional Chinese wedding attire, we as the bride and groom will serve tea to our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other respected elders. This meaningful custom symbolizes respect, filial piety, and the joining of our families. During the tea ceremony, we will receive well wishes and gifts as blessings from both sides of the family. This special moment will take place while dinner is being served.
