FAQs

Arrival Time

The ceremony starts after guest arrival, we ask that guests arrive before or at 3 pm. After parking, you will see a fountain to the right of the venue. From there, the staff will point you to the ceremony location. There will be shuttles for those who need extra assistance getting to the ceremony location at the venue. If you notice any of the bridal party members taking photos, please don't interrupt them during this time as they will be available for photos after the ceremony ends.

Parking and directions

The entrance to the venue has a large gate which will be open the day of the wedding. You will continue straight until you notice the large reception building. There will be signs for parking. There is plenty of space for every guest to park. The address of the venue is: 19990 Via Spanish Oaks, Santa Margarita, CA, 93453.

Recommended Wedding Attire

Cocktail Attire is recommended for the ceremony and reception. Cocktail attire is a step above semi-formal but not as dressy as black tie. Guests should aim for a polished and elegant look that is still comfortable. Women: A tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress is appropriate. Dressy jumpsuits or chic skirts with an elegant top are also great options. Men: A suit and tie are recommended—tuxedos are not necessary. Please avoid dark grey suits. Color Considerations: We kindly ask all guests to avoid wearing royal blue. Footwear: Heels, stylish flats, or formal dress shoes are appropriate. Please avoid sneakers or flip-flops. Weather Considerations: The weather during this time of year can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers or bringing a stylish wrap, blazer, or coat in case of cooler temperatures. Thank you for celebrating with us—we can’t wait to see you dressed for the occasion!

Weather predictions

It will be close to the longest day of the year and in June so ecpect some heat. However, San Luis Obispo can get some June Gloom cloudy weather as well. Regardless bride, groom, and all guests are recommended to wear sunscreen as the day will be spent completely outdoors (unless there is rain).

Food options

We are currently working with our vendors on selecting our buffet and dessert menu. We will work to accommodate as much as we can from the notes provided in the RSVPs while still having options for all our guests to enjoy.

Alcoholic Beverages

There will not be alcohol served at the wedding and it is not allowed on the premises at the wedding location. We will be offering alternative non-alcoholic drink options including lemonade, plenty of water, and apple cider during toasts.

Venue Considerations

Spanish Oaks Ranch has many acres of beautiful views which you are encouraged to enjoy. Keep the uneven terrain in mind when picking footwear for the event. While you may walk around the many paths at the venue, the pond is not for swimming.
