Our Wedding

Our story began in high school—at band camp, of all places. Wyatt spotted me from across the field and immediately started asking around. When he found out I was a sophomore who wasn’t interested in dating, he took it as a challenge. For six months he worked to win me over, and it finally paid off during a band trip to Disneyland. We broke the rules, snuck away from our group, and spent the entire day together running between the parks. Wyatt had one goal in mind: to watch the fireworks with me in front of the castle. And, true to form, he got what he wanted. That night I asked him to my sophomore banquet, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. From those first sparks of puppy love through high school graduation and into college, we knew we had to see if what we had could last. God brought us closer together, testing and strengthening our love in ways we never imagined. When we sat down to seriously talk about marriage, we asked each other why we wanted to take that step. Our answer was simple and the same: “to love God better and to serve his people.” He has graciously given us the gift of engagement, and soon, marriage. In this season, we’ve committed to pursuing Christ more deeply, with greater passion for His cross and mission. We feel incredibly blessed to walk through this together and are grateful for the fruit this time has already produced in our lives.

Seth was the first person I met at Baylor and has been my roommate since. I didn't know him initially, but he has grown to be the closest friend I've had, and someone I knew would be my best man for years now. He's been someone I look up to and has been with me through the highs and lows. Seth has always had my back when I needed someone. There's never been a doubt that he would be the guy standing next to me when I say "I do."

This has been a long time coming for Lindsey and I. I have been best friends with Lindsey since preschool. Lindsey is truly my best friend for life and my person. We have gone through so much together and one of the greatest gifts I have received has been simply being her friend. She loves me unconditionally and serves others generously. We have talked about our weddings for so long and I always knew that she would be the person that I wanted right by my side when I said "I do". This girl is the better half of me and I am so glad to know and be loved by her. 

Lindsey Basug

Trey is not only my brother but one of my best friends. I feel blessed to have such a close friendship with him that goes way beyond just being family. Growing up, we spent countless hours playing video games together. Whether it was playing Brawl or BO2 Zombies. Some of my favorite memories are from those nights we stayed up late and hanging out. Trey is one of the things that gets me the most excited about moving back home to Vegas after college. He’s always been someone I can count on, and I’m so thankful to have him by my side on one of the biggest days of my life.

I met Maddie 3 years ago thanks to Chi O! Maddie is one of the funniest people I know and someone I look forward to seeing. She is thoughtful, generous, and so kind. One of my favorite memories with Maddie was when we got initiated. We just so happened to be right next to each other that day and man was it one of the funniest memories I have. She also told me after I asked her to be my bridesmaid that she knew it was going to happen so I have to work on keeping things secret. But because I tell her everything this was a really big things to hide. Maddie has been a pivotal part of my college experience and has taught me how to truly love life.

Rupp is the friend who turns random moments into something hilarious. He brings life (and hot takes) to our house, keeps everyone debating, and still manages to come across as caring and thoughtful. He's someone who has reached out to me without me asking when going through tough times, and I'm excited to have him next to me.

Ethan Ruppersberg

I met Tori at Baylor but our stories began a long time before we met in Waco. While I was studying at NYU she was just down the street from me studying at Parsons. We were in NYC for the same time before we transferred to Baylor. That is such a testament to how much God wanted us to meet. The best memory I have with Tori, and there is a lot of them, has to be finding out that I was going to be her Big in Chi Omega. Every day since then has been such a loving and hilarious day. She just gets me. We can sit for hours in silence with each other because that is just what comforts us. I am a better person because I am loved by Tori. She is the best friend a girl could wish for- I just got really lucky I guess.

I met Nolan my freshman year at Baylor. Initially, he was just my life group leader, but I didn't realize at the time our friendship would grow deeper than that. Nolan gave me a place to stay when I needed it most, and he was there for me through some of the toughest moments I faced at Baylor. He didn’t just lead our group, he led with his life. He walked with me through doubts and growth, encouraged me when I struggled, and constantly pointed me back to Christ. His friendship has been a steady source of support, and I’m incredibly grateful for how he's poured into my life with humility, wisdom, and so much care.

Nolan Runnels

If I had to pick one person to always be ready for an adventure I would call Bella. She is someone who meets you where you are at and a person who loves relentlessly. I cannot imagine my college experience without Bella Burns by my side. So this was an easy decision for me when I had to pick my best people who support me endlessly. She is a hard worker, dedicated friend, and kind to all. When I was getting ready, unknowingly for my engagement, she was there to make sure I got ready. I at the time didn't want to even go to the "event" my friends made up but she made sure my hair was brushed, I wore a white dress, and rode with me and one of my other best friends to what would become the best day of my life. Every day is better with Bella and I am better because of her. 

Bella Burns

Luke is one of the hardest workers I know. He is someone who leads by example and gives his all to everything he does. He’s incredibly level headed, steady, and always approaches life with wisdom and a calmness I can't seem to understand. We’ve been roommates for two years now, and through all the ups and downs, he’s been a constant source of support and joy. Whether it’s late-night talks, random laughs, or just hanging out, I’ve come to really value his friendship and presence. I’m thankful for our memories and the way he’s always been there.

Luke Shields

Julia is love in human form. She is always smiling and joyful in every way. She has been one of my constant supporters since I came to Baylor. She is truly the life of the party. She is the one who is always dancing her heart out on the dance floor. I remember after not making Sing/Pigskin for the millionth time she was always there to make me smile and cheer me up. So when I got to perform in our last sing act with her senior year it imprinted such a joyful memory on my heart because I knew that Julia believed in me that much.  I am able to love deeply because of the great example of how Julia loves me.

William was one of the very first people I met at Baylor, and since our times in Martin, he’s been a constant in my life. We’ve been through some really hard times together, and he’s always shown up with kindness, support, and a level head. No matter what was going on, he was the kind of friend who would check in to see how I was doing even when I didn’t realize I needed it. His loyalty and heart for others have meant the world to me, and I’m thankful for the brotherhood we’ve built over the years.

William Armstrong

Arian is hands down one of the funniest people I know. He’s the heartbeat of our house, the guy who keeps the energy high, and the laughs constant. He doesn’t take life too seriously, and that’s one of the best things about him. Being around Arian means you’re going to laugh no matter what is going on in life. His lightheartedness and ability to bring people together has greatly impacted our group, and I’m grateful for the joy he brings into every room.

My roomie! Danielle and I have been roommates for the past 2 years and coming home to her has been one of the greatest gifts from college. Danielle is also incredibly funny so it is easy to come home to someone who makes you laugh until your lungs hurt. She also loves God incredibly well. She is such a godly women and leads her life with humility and strength from Christ. I look up to Danielle in so many ways because of that. She has easily been one of my greatest supporters in College and someone I couldn't imagine my life without. Not sharing a couch with Danielle is going to be really hard so Wyatt is just going to have to get used to Danielle staying with us in Vegas.

I didn’t know Grant before he transferred, but it didn’t take long for us to click. Since then, he’s become one of my closest roommates and someone I genuinely trust and connect with. He’s hilarious, always cracking jokes and keeping things light, but also has a way of just understanding me. No matter what I've got going on, he can always empathize and help me out. I’m thankful for the friendship we’ve built and all the moments that have come with it.

Skyler is sunshine in human form! Skyler has been such a joy to have in my life. She has not only brought so much love to my days here at Baylor but also Rex's brother Milo! Skyler easily loves the people around here for who they truly are. She is also one of the funniest people I have met. Laughing around the dinner table in our college house is something that I am going to miss so much. There is so much to love about Skyler and I am so lucky to know her and be her friend!

I didn’t really know Connor until Bid Day for Phi Chi, but I’m glad that changed because he turned out to be one of the funniest guys I know. He seriously can make me look like an idiot laughing at my phone because he texted something. Whether it’s a quick joke or just the way he sees the world, Connor constantly puts a smile on my face. He’s been a good friend and someone who brings joy and a laugh wherever he goes I’m grateful to have him in my corner for the biggest day of my life.

Brooke is the little sister I always wanted. Brooke and I met in High school and I feel like it has been hard to separate us ever since then. Each time I come home she is the first person I call. Which is actually difficult because she tracks my location so she knows when I get in and calls me herself. My greatest memory with Brooke has been her spending the summer living at my house 3 years ago. We watched "The Summer I Turned Pretty" which turned into daily movies on the couch when she got back from work each day. Brooke will always be my little sister and is someone I am proud and lucky to be friends with. I love her to pieces !

Grant Coward is the one of the most genuine and thoughtful guys I know. He has a good head on his shoulders, and his natural calmness makes everyone around him feel like they're cared for. Whether it's a serious conversation or just for fun, you know that Grant will be there for you. He has set an example to people with his faith, and I am excited to have him next to me on my big day.

Zirretta is my hilarious, die-hard Packers-loving friend. There’s no one who can light up a room as quickly as he. He's a glue guy and always does his best to lead me and our other roommates with his faith. I’m lucky to have his jokes and big heart as a part of my wedding day.

Travel

This is the first hike we went on in high school! This is an easy, hour round trip, hike with a gorgeous view of the east side of our island! Go to the beach after to cool off and hit Sunrise Shack for a nice treat afterwards.

Lanikai Pillbox Trail

Visit where we took our engagement photos! This is another quick hike with another gorgeous view of Mauka and Makai. The Crouching Lion restaurant would be a perfect stop after for a bite to eat!

This is one of our favorite beaches on the island. Wyatt loves to jump off of Waimea's iconic rock and is a must when we visit. Pack some lunch and drinks and lay out for the day!

Waimea Bay Beach Park

Waimea valley is near and dear to Cheyenne's heart because so many of her family members work there! Visit her mom at Hale Kapa or Uncle Brandon playing ukulele. Cheyenne spends days in the valley with her family for a perfect day in the mountains. There is also a waterfall for those who want to jump in! Waimea is a must visit !
