Our Wedding

We set the scene in Bison Nation...

Our story truly starts in our Sophomore year of college at NDSU, although we had known each other through mutual friends in Greek Life for about a year. Thanks to our shared stony-faced appearance when it comes to meeting new people, we both assumed that the other really wasn't that interested in striking up a conversation. During the summer between our Freshman and Sophomore year, I had gone back up to visit friends and to finish moving out of my apartment. Upon returning back to the Twin Cities, I was surprised to see a message from none other than Garett himself. I thought it very odd that he would have messaged me, as we'd had each other's contacts for a year with neither of us utilizing the connection at all. The conversation started off with a very suave and eloquent "hey", which was met admittedly with an equally eloquent "hi" from me... (We sure were the chatty type) I've since chalked it up to nerves on both ends. Eventually, Garett revealed his reason for reaching out was to ask me to see Toy Story 4, which he was unable to convince any of his other friends to go see with him. I agreed, and we spent the rest of the summer making the drive from Saint Paul to Cannon Falls to see each other. To my surprise and delight, I discovered a goofy, loving, wonderful man behind the exterior that I had first seen. Over these last years, we have laughed and cried, shared our highs and our lows, and have loved each other well. It is our complete honor to ask you all to attend the celebration of our love, and we are looking forward to meeting you all out on the dance floor! With love, Wynne and Garett

Meet the Ladies

Official BFF of the bride since 5th grade, Rylee has not left her side for the past 11 years! Rylee and Wynne stuck together after high school, coming to Fargo together. When not working, Rylee spends her time with her fiance and their cats, Gardenia and Taz, enjoying picturesque downtown Fargo.

After bonding over dance in college, Celeste and Wynne became close friends. Celeste is the life of the party, and always knows how to bring up the energy in a room. She currently lives in Colorado with her husband and their cat, Chicken,  where they spend their time hiking through the mountains and enjoying the views.

Destined to be friends since their dads met in college, Lauren and Wynne became fast friends as soon as they met through Alpha Gamma Delta. After living together in the sorority, Lauren and Wynne got an apartment together to have as many movie nights as possible. Although most of her time is spent studying in PA school, Lauren takes the time to enjoy the little things, like chocolate, sappy movies, and nutella mochas.

After meeting in college, Abby and Wynne clicked immediately and have been friends ever since. Although school and research keeps her pretty busy, Abby loves the outdoors, running, and the occasional crazy competitive board game night. You can always count on Abby to bring joy and cheer into a room!

Meet the Gents

The only member of the wedding party with a better mustache than his brother—the groom! A plumber by trade, Wyatt followed Garett up to Fargo after high school to continue their tradition of Thursday cribbage nights.

A close friend since elementary school, Alex spends most of his time dedicated to school and hunting trips. Between basketball games, robotics tournaments, trap shooting, and much more, Alex and Garett have always found creative ways to spend time together.

After meeting in the dorms in freshman year of college, Bryce and Garett quickly became close friends over many late nights of hockey and fraternity shenanigans. Bryce now lives in Colorado, building bridges and enjoying the sights!

As the brother of the bride, Dylan and Wynne have stayed close through the years. Continuing his education in medical school, he now lives in Bismarck with his fellow future doctors. In his free time, he frequently travels to Fargo to visit. (But mostly to eat the fried chicken)

After meeting early on in middle school, Jackson (or Maki, as he is lovingly referred to) became Garett's official bowling and Guitar Hero fanatic. Maki is currently stationed in Washington state, where he continues the tradition of playing Guitar Hero in his free time.

Unfortunately, due to military scheduling conflicts, Jackson is unable to join us on our special day, although he will be with us at heart.

Elijah is an Officiant for the state of Minnesota, and a personal friend of the bride and groom. As Garett's big brother in the fraternity, he has had the chance to watch the relationship grow, and even asked to be the officiant at the very beginning of the relationship over three years ago. With the help of his love and support, we are now closer than ever to making this happen.

The Reception

The reception will be held in the ballroom of the Southview Country Club, just south of the ceremony location. Get ready to have fun and dance the night away!

Take a Walk on Summit Avenue

Tour the home of railroad tycoon, James J. Hill, who was responsible for much of the popularity of Saint Paul in the late 1800s.
